1. Remove the retaining straps underneath the luggage compartment cover→ Fig. 2
.
2. Attach the left retaining strap to the left fastening ring→ Fig. 3 in the luggage compartment.
3. Attach the right retaining strap to the right fastening ring→ Fig. 3 in the luggage compartment.
Removing the luggage compartment cover
1. Carefully lift the rear edge of the luggage compartment cover upwards from below.
2. Remove the luggage compartment cover from the luggage compartment.
WARNING
Objects that are not secured or are secured incorrectly, or animals positioned on the luggage compartment cover,
can damage it and may also cause serious injuries in the event of a sudden driving or braking manoeuvre and in an
accident.
● Only transport objects on the luggage compartment cover when the third row of seats is positioned directly in
front of the luggage compartment cover and the third row backrests are upright.
● Never transport objects on the luggage compartment cover when the third row of seats is removed or the
backrests are folded down.
● Never transport any animals on the luggage compartment cover.
NOTICE
To prevent damage to the luggage compartment cover, do not load the luggage compartment to such a height that
the load presses against the luggage compartment cover when the boot lid is closed.
The luggage compartment should be empty to ease removal and installation of the luggage compartment
cover.
The luggage compartment cover can be folded up for loading and unloading the luggage compartment. When
driving, the luggage compartment cover must be in the horizontal position.
Installing and removing the net partition
The net partition can prevent objects in the luggage compartment entering the passenger compartment.
The net partition can be installed in the front or rear area.
