Gear shift indicator
Concept
The deadline for scheduled
maintenance or a legally man‐
dated inspection is approach‐
ing.
The system recommends the most fuel effi‐
cient gear for the current driving situation.
General information
The service deadline has al‐
ready passed.
Depending on the vehicle's features and coun‐
try-specific version, the gear shift indicator is
active in the manual mode of the Steptronic
transmission.
Entering appointment dates
Suggestions to shift gear up or down are dis‐
played in the instrument cluster.
Enter the dates for the mandatory vehicle in‐
spections.
On vehicles without a gear shift indicator, the
engaged gear is displayed.
Make sure that the vehicle's date and time are
set correctly.

Automatic Service Request
Data regarding the service status or legally
mandated vehicle inspections is automatically
transmitted to your dealer’s service center be‐
fore a service due date.
Speed Limit Info shows the current maximum
permitted speed in the instrument cluster.
You can check when your dealer’s service cen‐
ter was notified.
