Each press on one of the keypad buttons  
lets you scroll through the characters which  
are allocated on it.

The telephone function consists of a GSm  
telephone incorporated in NaviDrive.  
It has a “Hands-free” function, provided by  
a microphone located in the front interior  
lamp and controls at the steering wheel for  
accessing the majority of operations.

As with any mobile telephone, this  
telephone operates thanks to both  
cellular and terrestrial networks. For  
this reason, it cannot guarantee a con-  
nection in all cases.  
You can use the keyapad to do  
a rapid search for a name in the  
directory and in the SIM card.

Depending on countries and operators, you  
may be able to benefit from having 2 SIM  
cards at a discounted rate. These 2 cards  
have the same call number and the same  
messaging. Calls arrive as priority on your  
principal line. If the telephone containing the  
principal SIm card is switched off, the calls  
are transferred automatically to the equip-  
ment with the second SIm card.  
On first installation or for updating your  
directory:  
ꢀ Insert the SIm card from your mobile  
telephone.  
ꢀ Enter the PIN code on the keypad.  
ꢀ Rotate the control to select OK.  
ꢀ Press on the control to validate.  
Note:  
ꢀ Switch off the NaviDrive before removing  
the SIm card (key in position S (Steering  
lock) and display off).  
ꢀ The card has to be present in order for  
certain functions to work properly.  
Your NaviDrive can definitively  
memorise the PIN code of a SIM  
card. Once the memorisation  
is accepted, your PIN code will  
only be requested the first time  
you do an entry.  
ꢀ Transfer the information to the directory  
of your NaviDrive.  
ꢀ Insert the twin SIm card.  
HOW TO DEBLOCK THE TELEPHONE ?  
After three entry errors, the telephone will  
be blocked.  
Enter your PuK code to deblock the tel-  
ephone.  
Note: The PuK code is supplied by the ven-  
dor of your SIm card. The entering of the PuK  
code tolerates 10 errors in succession.  
After that, the SIM card will be definitively  
unusable.  
This transfer necessitates a callback  
(consult your telephone service operaꢀ  
tor.  
For the services to operate at their  
best, it is recommended to have the  
principal SIM card inserted in your  
NaviDrive.  
Your SIM card has to be valid.  
Before starting a call, make sure that  
you are in an area covered by your  
telephone operator.

To benefit from the localised emergency  
service with vehicle location, you have:  
Automatic triggering of the emergency call  
ꢀ to have signed the general conditions of  
the service stated on your vehicle order

Emergency Contract,  
ꢀ tohavemadeaninitialcalltothe CITROËN  
Emergency service.  
If there is a deployment of the pyrotechnic  
components on your vehicle, the NaviDrive  
will automatically transmit an emergency  
call to our specialised assistance platform  
(given no atmospheric, topographical or  
technical restrictions in the country you are  
in, as stipulated in the general conditions of  
the CITROËN Emergency service).  
Should there be no response from the per-  
sons present in the vehicle, assistance will  
systematically be sent to the location of the  
incident. To gain time, your vehicle is located  
automatically thanks to the GPS function of  
the NaviDrive system.  
Note: In the absence of a subscription to  
the CITROËN Emergency service or if there  
is no service in the country concerned,  
the SOS button is set to trigger a call to 112, a  
unique number reserved for emergency calls  
by the European GSm network. However,  
you will not then be geographically located.  
Depending on country, the call to 112 can  
be made without the need for a SIm card to  
be present in the system.  
To be able to activate this service and  
in order to be aware of the detailed  
conditions for its use and operation,  
refer to the general conditions of  
the CITROËN Emergency service.  
This service is only accessible if there  
is a subscription to the CITROËN  
Emergency service and is dependent  
on availability.  
At the end of 2006, the service is avail-  
able in France, Germany, Italy, Benelux,  
Spain and Portugal. The service is  
due to be extended to other countries,  
details of which can be obtained from a  
member of the CITROËN network.  
To initialise this service:  
ꢀ press on the SOS button, with the vehicle  
stationary and parked in the open air in an  
area covered by your mobile telephone  
operator,  
ꢀ be prepared to refer to your registration  
document,  
ꢀ specify to the operator that you are mak-  
ing a “CITROËN Emergency service  
initialisation” call.  
When should you use this service ?  
In an emergency situation (accident with  
injuries, assault, etc.).  
How to access this service ?  
Press on the SOS button of your NaviDrive.  
You are put in contact with our specialised  
assistance platform. An operator will rapidly  
assess the situation and if necessary send  
help to the spot.

If the service is available in the country  
you are travelling to, the emergency  
call will be connected and an operator  
will respond in the language of your

Your vehicle is automatically located thanks  
to the GPS function of your NaviDrive.  
If you have made an error, to  
cancel the call being made,  
press on the SOS button for 8  
seconds. You have 6 seconds  
to cancel.  
Any call to this service must be  
motivated by an actual situation  
of serious emergency.

If your vehicle malfunctions (mechanical  
breakdown), this service puts you in contact  
with our CITROËN Assistance platform to  
request a recovery vehicle.  
Note: While making an assistance call, it is  
impossible to make other calls apart from  
an emergency call.

CITROËN On Line puts you in contact with  
specialised operators who can answer ques-  
tions about use of your NaviDrive and the  
associated services offered by the manu-  
facturer and its dealer networks.

This menu gives you access to the basket  
of telematic services offered by CITROËN  
(construction of an optimised itinerary,  
sending of a destination, search for a point  
of interest, a restaurant, search for an indi-  
vidual or professional in directory enquiries,  
etc.) depending on availability in the country  
concerned and on there being a subscription  
to the services.

The battery has a life of 4 years. It must

the CITROËN Emergency service and  
the service is available in your country,  
our assistance vehicles will easily be  
able to locate your vehicle and check  
your position with you.
