TMC trafﬁc information consists of messages

Trafﬁc information is shown on the map by

transmitted by Fm radio stations.

broadcast by radio (TA), TMC (Trafﬁc Mes-

sage Channel) messages are coded and

silent. You can ﬁlter the types of information

that interest you.

Note: These symbols may be accompanied

by an arrow indicating in which trafﬁc direc-

tion they are situated.

Quality of the TMC information

Depending on the station selected, the trafﬁc

information may be more or less complete

and precise, or cover a larger or smaller

area. Each radio station is individually

responsible for the quality of the information

that it broadcasts.

Your NaviDrive issues messages written in

the selected language (including in a foreign

country where your language is not that of

the local radio stations).

The messages contain:

ꢀ The date and the time of the broadcast

ꢀ the nature of the incident

ꢀ the location

ꢀ the name

ꢀ the direction of traffic on the artery

concerned.

A message is sent when an event occurs.

You are again informed of the event when

you are coming into proximity. The messages

are classed according to the distance of the

event from your vehicle.

The list of messages is updated every 15

minutes approximately.

When the Fm station selected is able to

broadcast TmC information, the multifunction

screen displays the symbol “TMC”.

When the Fm station selected is unable

to broadcast TmC information, the “TMC”

symbol appears shaded.

The availability of trafﬁc information depends on the country and on the region where you are driving.

The TMC trafﬁc information can be read by the voice synthesiser.

FILTERING TMC INFORMATION

Select the information relating to a geographical area.

Select the information relating to trafﬁc.

Select the information relating to built-up areas.

SETTING PARAMETERS FOR MESSAGE ANNOUNCEMENTS

Activate or deactivate the reading of new messages by

the NaviDrive voice.

Activate or deactivate the display of new TmC mes-

sages (do not select the tab for the regions with dense

trafﬁc).

Access the list of TmC stations.

Select an automatic TmC search.

This menu gives you access to the list of

messages:

Depending on the ﬁlters that you choose for

Trafﬁc Information, your NaviDrive is able to

allow you to divert your journey.

If a signiﬁcant incident arises on your route,

a window opens and informs you of the

problem.

To account for this incident in your journey

and to modify your itinerary:

ꢀ Rotate the control to select A

The ﬁlters enable you to select the types of

information which you wish to receive.

ꢀ Certain of these messages may offer you

a diversion from your route, depending on

the TmC information received (it is neces-

sary for you to have selected the “trafﬁc

info” guidance option). If you accept one

of these messages, then the NaviDrive

offers you a diversion and recalculates

your itinerary. You can then choose

whether or not to accept the offer.

This menu gives you access:

ꢀ To the geographical ﬁlter: information

concerning incidents situated around your

vehicle, around a given location and/or on

an itinerary (radius of 3 to 200 km),

ꢀ To road information: information con-

cerning road incidents such as trafﬁc,

road closures, height/width limitations,

state of the roadway or weather condi-

tions (depending on the information

available).

ꢀ To urban trafﬁc information: information

concerning the town where you are, such

as parking, public transport and demon-

strations (depending on the information

available).

ꢀ Press on the control to validate.

Your NaviDrive offers you a new itinerary.

ꢀ A message is sent to you when the deci-

sion is imminent. You are informed again

as you approach the junction.

To make the best use of the ﬁl-

ters in your NaviDrive, we advise

you to select a ﬁlter around your

vehicle of:

ꢁ

5kmor10foraregionwithdensetraffic,

ꢁ

20 km for a region with normal trafﬁc,

The ﬁlters can be cumulative.

If no ﬁlter is selected, all the TMC information

will be displayed.

ꢁ

100 km for long, motorway-type

journeys.

You can consult a message by selecting on the map (see “Move the pointer on

the map”.
