Driving modes
The number and type of driving modes available
depend on the vehicle’s engine and equipment.
Driving modes are selected using one of the
following controls, depending on version:
If the battery is almost fully charged, the
braking effect when the accelerator pedal
is released may be limited.
Displays in the instrument
panel
When the ignition is switched on, the status of
the gearbox is displayed in the instrument panel:
P: park.
DS ACTIVE SCAN
SUSPENSION
This suspension adapts itself to the following
parameters: state and profile of the road, load
of the vehicle, driving style and selected driving
mode.
It is managed by a computer, which interprets the
data transmitted by different sensors to apply the
optimal level of damping to each shock absorber.
It is associated with a camera, located at the top
of the windscreen, which constantly monitors the
state of the road. Depending on the additional
information transmitted by the camera, the
suspension anticipates the possible defects of
the road.
R: reverse.
N: neutral.
D1 to D8: automatic forward gear.
B1 to B8: automatic forward gear with
regenerative braking function activated.
In all-electric driving, the gear engaged is not
indicated.
The state of the gearbox remains displayed in
the instrument panel for a few seconds after
switching off the ignition.
1. Pressing the control activates ECO mode. The
indicator lamp comes on.
2. Pressing the front of the control activates
SPORT mode; pressing the rear activates
ECO mode. The corresponding indicator lamp
comes on.
Regenerative braking
The regenerative braking function emulates
engine braking, slowing the vehicle with no
need to depress the brake pedal. The vehicle
slows more quickly when the driver releases the
accelerator pedal.
3. Pressing the control displays the modes on the
instrument panel.
It offers three modes: Comfort, Normal and Sport.
The mode can be selected using the DRIVE MODE
control on the central console.
For more information on the Driving modes,
please refer to the corresponding section.
When the accelerator pedal is released,
mechanical energy is recovered and used to
partially recharge the battery.
►ꢀ While in mode D/B, pushing the pulse selector
backwards activates/deactivates the function.
The D on the instrument panel is replaced with
a B.
The selected mode is activated immediately.
The choice of driving mode is also
managed by the DS SENSORIAL DRIVE
function; refer to the corresponding section.
