In addition to the controls in the Front
Information Display Control Head J523, the
multi-function steering wheel, and the Rear
A/C Control Head (Climatronic) E265, the
Infotainment system includes the following
components:
• Display Unit in Instrument Cluster Y24.

• Control Module for Navigation with
CD-Mechanism J401 in the glove
compartment.
• Antennas in the rear window.
• Microphone Unit (in Front Roof Module)
R164 for voice control and telephoning.
Netw orking
These main elements are linked by the
Infotainment CAN data bus.
This data bus network is one of a total of
three CAN data bus networks in the
Phaeton:
• Drivetrain CAN data bus.
• Convenience CAN data bus.
• Infotainment CAN data bus.
All three CAN data bus networks exchange
information with each other. This allows the
Infotainment system access to a wide
range of sensors and actuators.
