Starting and driving -> Start at the push of a button for Your Volkswagen T Cross SUV First Generation (2018-2025)

On vehicles with automatic transmission, the key  
can only be removed when the selector lever is in  
the position.  
Starting the vehicle with automatic transmission  
— Secure the vehicle with the parking brake.  
— Keep the brake pedal depressed.  
WARNING  
— Move the selector lever to position or

During a journey with the engine stopped, the  
ignition must always be switched on.

Danger of unexpected vehicle movement!

At temperatures below -10°C, start the vehicle

Do not switch the engine off immediately at the

garage.  
Starting the vehicle with manual transmission  
— Secure the vehicle with the parking brake.  
— Move the shift lever to the neutral position.  
— Keep the clutch pedal depressed.  
The engine does not start, the display shows a mes-  
sage regarding the immobilizer  
— Press the starter button.  
— Use the other vehicle key.
