Instruction manual

Engine oils are constantly being improved.
Volkswa- gen dealers are always informed of
any changes in good time. Volkswa- gen
therefore recommends that you have your oil
changed by a Volkswa- gen dealer.
The use of engine oils conforming to the
specifications of the VW 504 00 and VW 504 00
standards is not required.
VW 507 00 requires the use of fuels with a
quality in accordance with EN 228 (for petrol)
and EN 590 (for diesel) or equivalent. Engine oils
conforming to the specifications of VW 504 00
and VW 507 00 are therefore not suitable for
many markets.
The quality of the engine oils is not only
adapted to the requirements of the engines and
exhaust gas cleaning systems, but also to the
quality of the fuel. In all combustion engines,
for technical design reasons, the engine oil
comes into contact with combustion residues
and fuel, which influences the ageing of the oil
accordingly.
If the engine is fittengine oil
conforming to the spf VW 502 00,
VW 504 00 and VW 50ker on
the lock plate in the ena
corresponding note. Plete!
Since the quality of fuel differs from market to
market, in some cases considerably, this aspect
has to be taken into account when choosing the
appropriate engine oil.

Due to the problems involved in disposing of
