Operation of the Start-Stop system with
adaptive cruise control (ACC) activated
When the adaptive cruise control actively
intervenes on the brakes until the vehicle comes

Conditions that cause the engine to restart
automatically
With adaptive cruise control active, the engine is

In the following cases, the engine must be
started manually with the vehicle key:
● The brake booster does not work when the
engine is switched off. Therefore, when the
engine is switched off, the brake pedal must
be pressed harder to brake the vehicle.
– If the driver unfastens his seat belt.
– If the driver's door is opened.
– If the engine bonnet is opened.
● The power steering does not work when
the engine is switched off. When the engine
is switched off, more force is required to
steer the vehicle.
Switching the Start-Stop system off and on
manually
● If the ignition is switched off, the steering
