Displays
A message will be displayed on the instrument cluster display as soon as the system detects a speed limit on
the route. The detected speed is stored as the new desired speed.
Adopting current speed
1. Press the
button.
When you join a motorway, the recommended speed will automatically be stored as the desired
speed.
Cancelling speed adaptation
In the following situations, you can cancel the speed adaptation by pressing the
adopted.
button. The last-stored speed is
—When a speed adaptation is announced.
—After a speed detected by Dynamic Road Sign Display has been adopted. This is only possible within a few seconds.
In the following situations, you can cancel the speed adaptation by releasing the accelerator twice and pressing it
again. The last-stored speed is adopted.
—If a lower speed than the current speed is announced.
—If a lower speed than the current speed has been adopted. This is only possible within a few seconds.
In the following situations, you can bring forward the speed adaptation by releasing the accelerator twice and
pressing it again. The announced speed is adopted.
—If a higher speed than the current speed is announced.
Adjusting the announced speed
You can adjust the announced speed a few seconds after it has been adopted:
+ 1 km/h (1 mph):
Press the
button.
+ 10 km/h (5 mph):
Press the button. Pressing it for the first time switches to the next highest 10 km/h or 5 mph interval:
- 10 km/h (5 mph):
Press the button. Pressing it for the first time switches to the next lowest 10 km/h or 5 mph interval:
If you adjust the announced speed excessively, predictive control will be terminated.
If a speed limit is detected, the predictive control function will adjust the stored speed even if the speed
limiter is not regulating.
