Parking and manoeuvring -> Displays in the Infotainment system for Your Volkswagen Transporter Van Seventh Generation (2021-2025)

Displays in the Infotainment system  
The range of possible settings depends on the country, the device and the vehicle's equipment.  
The vehicle approaching an obstacle is displayed in several segments on the Infotainment system and this is backed  
up by acoustic signals. The display may vary depending on the situation.  
The collision area has been reached at the latest when the penultimate segment is displayed.Do not drive on!  
All equipment and displays are described without indicating whether the equipment is optional or specific to the  
model type. The systems available depend on the equipment in the vehicle.  
Menu for parking systems  
Tap the touch panel in the upper area of the centre console to open the menu with the parking systems in the  
Infotainment system.  
Open the settings for the parking systems.  
General displays  
Mute signal tones.  
Adjusts brightness, contrast and colour.  
Show display.  
Hide display.  
Close current display and end function.  
The following also applies to vehicles with Park Distance Control  
Switching Park Distance Control on and off (→ Park Distance Control).  
Switch to rear view camera system.  
Manoeuvre braking deactivated or faulty.  
Red image segment: Obstacle close to the vehicle.Vehicle is at risk. Brake.  
Yellow image segment: Obstacle in the vehicle’s path.Vehicle is at risk. Adjust the steering wheel angle.  
Grey image segment: obstacle outside the path of the vehicle or faulty sensor area.

System fault in the monitored area(depending on equipment level). The colour may vary.  
The following also applies to vehicles with rear view camera system  
Switch to Park Distance Control.  
Switch to “Perpendicular parking”.  
Switch to “Crossing traffic”.  
Switch to “Trailer support”.  
Red line: boundary or safety clearance.  
Yellow lines: the vehicle's path depending on the steering wheel angle.  
Green lines: limits.  
Additional information for vehicles with Park Assist  
Switch Park Assist on and off.  
NOTICE  
Visual and acoustic warnings are given only for obstacles in the vehicle path.  
In the camera image, the guiding lines are shown by the system regardless of the vehicle surroundings. No  
automatic detection of obstacles by cameras takes place. Drivers must judge for themselves whether the  
vehicle will fit into the parking space.  
All of the reversing camera’s guiding lines are hidden when the factory-fitted towing bracket is connected  
electrically to a trailer. The same applies when the boot lid where the camera is installed is open.  
Automatic braking intervention  
The automatic braking intervention of a parking system is designed to reduce the possible damage due to a collision  
if an obstacle is detected during the parking manoeuvre.  
Braking functions  
The following systems may be available depending on the vehicle equipment:  
Manoeuvre braking function of Park Distance Control .  
Emergency braking function of Park Assist (→ Park Assist).  
Rear Traffic Alert emergency braking function (→ Rear Traffic Alert).
