Steering and Seats -> Mechanically adjusting the front seat for Your Volkswagen Transporter Van Seventh Generation (2021-2025)

Sharp edges can damage the seats.  
Do not touch the seats with sharp-edged objects. Sharp objects, such as zips, rivets on clothing or belts, may  
damage surfaces. Open Velcro fasteners can also cause damage.  
Mechanically adjusting the front seat  
The following section contains a description of all controls. The number of controls may vary depending on the  
version of the seat.  
The controls are mirrored for the right-hand front seat.  
The seat may have a combination of mechanical and electrical controls.

Adjusting the front seat

1. Pull the lever→ Fig. 1  
to push the front seat forwards or backwards.  
The front seat must engage after the lever has been released.

2. If necessary, move the lever  
up or down several times to adjust the seat height.

3. Take your weight off the backrest and turn the handwheel→ Fig. 2  
to adjust it.

Electrical front seats may be equipped with a mechanical seat depth adjustment.

1. Lift the handle at the front of the seat cushion to push the seat cushion→ Fig. 3  
forwards or backwards.

Adjusting the armrest

underneath the armrest.

and position the armrest at the desired height.

Electrically adjusting the front seat  
The controls are mirrored for the right-hand front seat.  
The seat may have a combination of mechanical and electrical controls.

Careless or unsupervised use of the electric front seats can result in severe injuries.  
The electrical front seat adjustment also works when the ignition is switched off. Never leave children or people
