tem. Depending on the
level of comfort chosen,
a press on this button,
confirmed by light a

a
coming on, allows all of the follow-
ing functions to be automatically
and simultaneously controlled:
Turn control 2a to change the driv-
er's side temperature and con-
trol 2b to change the passenger's
side temperature:
Air flow.
Cabin temperature.
Air distribution.
Clockwise to increase the tem-
perature.
Air conditioning.
Automatic air recirculation.
Anti-clockwise to reduce the
temperature.
The chosen temperature is dis-
played.
An adjustment around ꢀꢁ will give
you the optimum comfort level.
However, depending on your pref-
erences anywhere between ꢁ8
and ꢀ4 is quite usual.
It is recommended to keep all
the air vents open. Just by press-
ing any of the buttons, except for
temperature 1a and 1b, you can
change to manual mode. The
light a goes out.

adjusted manually, while still retain-
ing the other functions in automatic
mode.
Press on any of the buttons, except
fortemperature 2aand2b.Lights a
on buttons “aUTO” go out.
Changing to manual mode may
result in a decrease in comfort
level (temperature, humidity, smell,
misting) and is not advised for opti-
mum comfort.
To return to “aUTO” mode, press
on buttons 1a and 1b. Lights a
come on.
Front and rear footwells.
Note: You cannot select distribu-
tion to the windscreen/front win-
dows and to the front/rear air vents
at the same time.
6. air recirculation – Entry
of air from outside
This button activates
the recirculation of air in
the passenger compart-
ment and can function
automatically.
4. Adjusting the air flow
The air flow can only be adjusted
with the engine running.
To adjust the air flow, press button:
Entry of air in automatic
anti-pollution mode
activated by default, in
automatic comfort regu-
lation.
Automatic mode uses an air qual-
ity sensor. This analyses the air and
isolates the passenger compartment
from the exterior, as soon as it detects
thepresenceofpollutants.Inthiscase,
it automatically activates recirculation
of passenger compartment air.
to increase the air flow
to reduce the air flow
The air flow level is indicated by the
progressive lighting of the ventilator
blades.

distribution
remark: this function cannot detect
and therefore protect the passenger
compartment from bad smells not
linked to pollutants. It is not active
when the outside temperature is
below +5°C in order to protect against
the risk of misting.
By reducing the air flow to its mini-
mum setting, the air conditioning
system switches itself off (OFF).
To prevent misting and poor air qual-
ity in the passenger compartment, take
care to maintain a sufficient flow of air.

switching off the entry
of air
Press button 6 to switch
off the entry of air from
outside.
Whilst retaining the other settings,
this position allows the driver at
any moment to exclude unpleas-
ant smells or smoke/emissions
coming from outside.
This mode should be cancelled
as soon as possible to allow the
redistribution of air in the pas-
senger compartment.
In the latter case, demisting
will resume when the engine is
switched on again.
Note: The heated rear screen
operates independently of the
automatic air conditioning.
remarks:
When starting from cold, in
order to prevent unwanted cold
air, the air flow will increase only
gradually to its optimum level.
iii
If you enter the vehicle after a
fairly prolonged stop and the
temperature inside the vehicle
is far from comfortable, it serves
no purpose to modify the tem-
perature that is displayed as an
attempt to go immediately to the
desired comfort level. The sys-
tem automatically uses all of its
power to compensate the tem-
perature gap as quickly as pos-
sible.
8. Front demisting - deicing
In some cases, “aUTO”
mode may not be suf-
ficient to demist or
defrost the windows
(e.g. humidity, several
passengers, frost).
Press button 8 for rapid clear win-
dows. The warning lamp comes
on. This system controls air con-
ditioning, temperature and air
flow/entry. It distributes ventilation
towards the windscreen and the
front windows.
you can manually exit “Demisting”
mode. This mode should be can-
celled as soon as possible to allow
the redistribution of air in the pas-
senger compartment.
A press on either of the buttons 1a
or 1b allows you to return to
aUTO” mode.
Entry of air from outside
Press once on button 6 to
return to the original status
(entry of air from outside).
Water arising from the conden-
sation in the air conditioning
drains out through a hole pro-
vided for this purpose ; a pool
of water may thus form under-
neath the vehicle when station-
ary.
7. rear demisting - deicing
Whatever the time of year, even
in cool weather the air condition-
ing is useful in removing humid-
ity and misting. Avoid driving for
too long with air conditioning
deactivated.
Press button 7, with
the engine running, to
start a rapid deicing or
demisting of the rear
screen and rear view
mirrors. The warning lamp comes
on.
This mode automatically stops
depending on the outside tempera-
ture. It can be interrupted by a fur-
ther press on button 7 or by stop-
ping the engine.
