TYRE PRESSURE LOSS WARNING
the system must be reset with an infla-
tion pressure equal to one of those
shown on the tyre inflation pressure la-
bel (reference values) ꢀ 327.
Resetting should always be carried
out after checking the tyre pressure
of all four tyres when cold.
– use of tyres not approved by the net-
work.
The sudden loss of pres-
sure in a tyre (burst tyre,
etc.) cannot be detected by
3
the system.
In the following situations, the system
risk coming into action late or not func-
tioning correctly:
Procedure for resetting the standard
levels for the tyre pressures
– system not reset after reinflation or
any operation on the wheels;
– incorrectly reset system: tyre pres-
sures different from the recommended
pressures;
This should be performed:
– after each re-inflation or resetting of
tyre pressure;
– after changing a wheel;
– after swapping a wheel (however,
this practice is not recommended);
Vehicle not fitted with a multimedia
screen
The tyre pressure must be
checked before starting the
resetting procedure.
Ignition on, vehicle stopped:
Tyre pressures must correspond to the
current usage of the vehicle (empty,
carrying a load, motorway driving,
etc.). Respect the tyre pressures (in-
cluding the emergency spare wheel).
Check them at least once a month and
before a long journey (refer to the label
on the edge of the driver’s door
ꢀ 327).
– on vehicles equipped with a type A
or B ꢀ 98 instrument panel, press
switch 3 as many times as necessary
to reach the "VEHICLE" tab;
– briefly press switch 4 or 5 to reach
the "Tyre pressure init. long press"
page;
The system will not issue a warn-
ing if the pressure does not corre-
spond to the recommended pres-
sure.
– press and hold the 6 "OK" switch to
launch the reset.
– significant change in load or distribu-
tion of load on one side of the vehicle;
– sporty driving with strong accelera-
tion;
– driving on snowy or slippery surface;
– driving with snow chains;
Hold down the 6 switch until the "Op-
eration completed" message appears.
You can now drive.
