CHILD SAFETY: deactivating, activating AIRBAG front passenger (1/3)  
DANGER  
Since operation of the front  
passenger airbag is not  
compatible with the position  
of a rear-facing child seat, NEVER fit  
a rear-facing child restraint system in  
a seat protected by an ACTIVATED  
front AIRBAG. This can lead to the  
DEATH of the CHILD or SERIOUS  
INJURY.

To deactivate theairbag: with the ig-  
nition off, press and turn button 1 to  
the OFF position.  
Front passengerairbag

(depending on vehicle)  
The passenger airbag must  
only be activated or deacti-  
vated when the vehicle is  
stationary with the igni-  
tion off.  
With the ignition switched back on,  
it is essential to check that warning  
Before installing a child seat on the  
front passenger seat:

shown above) remind you of these in-  
structions.

Operating faults  
It is forbidden to fit a rear-facing child  
seat to the front passenger seat if the  
airbag activation/deactivation system is  
faulty.  
Allowing any other passenger to sit in  
that seat is not recommended.

Contact your approved dealer as soon  
as possible.

To reactivate the airbag: with the  
vehicle stoppedand the ignition off,  
push and turn lock 1 to the ON position.  
With the ignition switched on, you must
