Attachments, Units and Systems -> 3.7 Standing Height Adjustment (Torsion Bar Spring) for Your Volkswagen Transporter Van Fifth Generation (2003-2015)

If the unladen weight of the vehicle at which an attachment was installed is considerably increased, compared to the base
vehicle, it is required to adjust the standing height at the front axle. This is the only way to avoid an excessively high
torque-rod load at the top limit-stop.
Adjustment:
a) Determination of the axle load in unladen condition, at the front (without driver and with empty tank) on the ready
vehicle
b) The vehicle must be perfectly aligned, deflected several times and swung out
c) Measure and adjust the standing height at the front axle
