SPARK PLUGS (gasoline engine models)  
WARNING:  
Be sure the engine and ignition switch are off  
and that the parking brake is applied.  
Replace the spark plugs according to the  
maintenance log shown in a separate main-  
tenance booklet.  
If replacement is required, contact a NISSAN  
dealer.

Be sure the ignition switch is in the “OFF”  
position.  
Visually inspect the belt for signs of unusual  
wear, cuts, fraying or looseness. Check regu-  
larly for condition. If the belt is in poor condition  
or loose, have it replaced or adjusted by a  
NISSAN dealer.

It is not necessary to replace the iridium-tipped  
spark plugs as frequently as the conventional  
type of spark plugs. These spark plugs are  
designed to last much longer than the con-  
ventional type of spark plug.

BRAKES  
PLATINUM-TIPPED SPARK PLUGS (if  
equipped)  
It is not necessary to replace the platinum-  
tipped spark plugs as frequently as the con-  
ventional type of spark plugs. These spark  
plugs are designed to last much longer than  
the conventional type of spark plugs.

ing brake pedal slowly and firmly. If the number  
of clicks is out of the range listed, see a NISSAN  
dealer.

With the engine running, check the distance  
between the upper surface of the pedal and  
the metal floor. If it is out the range listed, see a  
NISSAN dealer.

Periodically check the holding ability of the  
parking brake by parking on a steep hill and  
restraining the vehicle by using only the park-  
ing brake. If it does not hold satisfactorily, see a
