Removing the wheel
Slide the holder cover to gain ac-
cess to the tools.
Detach the wheel/holder assem-
bly from the rear of the vehicle.
Take out the notched hook to re-
lease the wheel, as shown in the
illustration.
Place the jack 4 in contact with
one of the four locating points A
on the sub-frame; the closest pos-
sible to the wheel to be changed.
Extend the jack 4 until its base is
in contact with the ground. Ensure
that the centre line of the base of
the jack is straight above the lo-
cating point A used.
Raise the vehicle.
Remove one bolt and position the
centralising tool 5 in its place.
Unscrew the other bolts and re-
move the wheel.
If necessary, place a chock under
the wheel diagonally opposite to
the one to be changed.
Remove the trim, using the wheel-
brace 1 pulling at the valve pas-
sage hole (for vehicles fitted with
steel wheels).
Loosen the wheel bolts (see §
"Special features of alloy wheels"
for vehicles fitted with alloy
wheels).
Note: you can use the other end
of the tool 6 to unscrew the wheel
bolts.
