Event Data Recording
system
If you purchased your vehicle outside the
PEUGEOT dealer network, you are invited
to have a dealer check the configuration of
these services and, if desired, modify it as
required. In a multilingual country, services
can be configured to use the official national
language of your choice.

(Depending on country of sale)
– Special equipment that can be purchased from
the manufacturer BOSCH (www.BoschCDRTool.
com).
Aside from the vehicle Manufacturer, other
parties such as law enforcement agencies may
access this data in order to analyse the event.
This vehicle is fitted with an accident data
recording system, also called Event Data
Recorder (EDR).
This system gathers and records certain vehicle
data over a short period (a few seconds) before,
during and after an event such as an accident or
collision.
In order to gain a better understanding of
the circumstances surrounding the event, this
system records how the vehicle’s various
systems are operating at the time of the event,
including:
For technical reasons and in particular to
improve the quality of telematics services
provided to customers, the Manufacturer
reserves the right to carry out updates to the
vehicle's on-board telematics system at any
time.
Electronic stability control
(ESC)
The electronic stability control programme
includes the following systems:
– Any deployment of a restraint system (e.g.
airbag, seat belt).
– Anti-lock braking system (ABS) and Electronic
brake force distribution (EBFD).

Safety
– Emergency braking assistance (EBA).
– Post Collision Safety Brake (PCSB).
– Anti-slip regulation (ASR).
– Dynamic stability control (DSC).
– Trailer stability assist (TSA).
This warning lamp, when lit togeth-
er with the STOP and ABS warning
lamps, accompanied by a message
and an audible signal, indicates an
EBFD malfunction.
the risk of further collisions if the driver does not
react.
The system acts on frontal, lateral and rear
collision.
The system is not operational if the capability
of the vehicle to trigger and execute the post
collision safety braking is not available, as it can
occur in destructive accidents or in other specific
accident scenarios.
You must stop the vehicle.
Stop as soon as it is safe to do so and switch off
the ignition.
Contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified
workshop.
Anti-lock braking system
(ABS)/Electronic brake force
distribution (EBFD)
It is possible to override the automatic braking by
pressing the accelerator pedal.
These systems enhance the vehicle’s stability
and handling during braking, and enable greater
control while cornering, particularly on poor or
slippery road surfaces.
ABS prevents wheel locking in the event of
emergency braking.
Electronic brake force distribution (EBFD)
manages overall braking pressure on each
individual wheel.
Operating conditions
When changing wheels (tyres and rims),
ensure that these are approved for your
vehicle.
The system operates, if the following conditions
are met:
– Airbags or pyrotechnic seat belt pretensioners
have been deployed by the collision.
– Braking systems and electric functions
remain continuously operational during and after
collision.
After an impact
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or
a qualified workshop.
– Driver has not depressed the accelerator
pedal.
When braking in an emergency, depress
the pedal very firmly and maintain this
pressure.
Emergency braking
assistance (EBA)
Malfunction
In the event of a
malfunction, one of
these warning lamps
This system reduces the emergency stopping
distance, by optimising the braking pressure.
It is triggered in relation to the speed at which
the brake pedal is depressed. The effect of this
is a reduction in the resistance of the pedal and
an increase in braking efficiency.
Normal operation of the ABS may make
itself felt by slight vibrations of the brake
pedal.
will come on fixed on
the instrument panel, accompanied by the
Service warning lamp, the display of a message
and an audible signal.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualified workshop.
The fixed illumination of this warning
lamp signals that there is a fault with
the ABS.
Post Collision Safety Brake
(PCSB)
The vehicle retains conventional braking. Drive
carefully at a moderate speed.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualified workshop.
If an accident is detected, the vehicle
automatically initiates a post collision safety
braking. The goal of this system is to reduce

Safety
Deactivation/reactivation of the ASR
system is indicated by this indicator
lamp on the instrument panel com-
ing on/going out and the display of a
message.
Anti-slip regulation (ASR)/
Dynamic stability control
(DSC)
ASR/DSC
These systems enhance safety during
normal driving, but should not encourage the
driver to take extra risks or drive at high
speed.

Anti-slip regulation (or traction control) optimises
traction by using engine braking and by applying
the brakes on the driving wheels to avoid one
or more wheels spinning. It also enhances the
vehicle's directional stability.
If there is a difference between the vehicle’s
trajectory and the path desired by the driver, the
dynamic stability control system automatically
uses engine braking and the brakes on one or
more wheels to return the vehicle to the desired
path, within the limits of the laws of physics.
These systems are activated automatically every
time the vehicle is started.
It is in conditions of reduced grip (rain, snow,
ice) that the risk of loss of grip increases. It
is therefore important for your safety to keep
these systems activated in all conditions, and
particularly in difficult conditions.
Correct operation of these systems depends
on compliance with the manufacturer's
recommendations relating to the wheels
(tyres and rims), braking and electronic
components, as well as the assembly and
repair procedures provided by PEUGEOT
dealers.
In order to ensure that these systems remain
effective in wintry conditions, the use of snow
or all-season tyres is recommended. All four
wheels must be fitted with tyres approved for
your vehicle.
All tyre specifications are listed on the
tyre/paint label. For more information
on Identification markings, refer to the
corresponding section.
The ASR system is automatically reactivated
every time the ignition is switched off or at
speeds over 31 mph (50 km/h) Reactivation is
manual below 31 mph (50 km/h).
Malfunction
In the event of a malfunction, this
warning lamp lights up on the
instrument panel, accompanied by the
display of a message and an audible
signal.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a
qualified workshop.
These systems are activated in the
event of a problem with grip or trajec-
tory (confirmed by this warning lamp
flashing on the instrument panel).
Deactivation/Reactivation
In exceptional conditions (e.g. moving a vehicle
that is bogged down in mud, stuck in snow, on
loose soil), it may prove useful to deactivate the
DSC/ASR systems, so that the wheels can move
freely and regain grip.
Trailer stability assist (TSA)
When towing, this system reduces the risk of the
vehicle or trailer snaking.
Reactivate the system as soon as the level of
grip permits.
Operation
The ASR system is deactivated/ re-
activated in the ADAS touch screen
application.
The system is activated automatically when the
ignition is switched on.
The electronic stability control system (ESC)
must not have any faults.
