Changing the bulbs in the tail light cluster  
Removing the tail light cluster  
Fig. 1 On the left side of the vehicle at the rear: removing  
lamp units.  
The actions should only be carried out in the specified order:  
1. Observe and follow the instructions in the checklist (→ Exterior lighting).  
2. Open the boot lid or wing doors (→ Boot lid).  
3. Remove the vehicle toolkit from the stowage compartment (→ Vehicle toolkit).

4. Loosen three bolts with a screwdriver→ Fig. 1  
. If necessary, use a suitable interchangeable blade.

5. Use the tool→ Fig. 1  
to lever the lamp unit out of the bracket from top to bottom.  
Changing the bulb  
Fig. 2 On the tail light cluster: Remove the connector.

Fig. 3 In the left side panel: Remove the bulb holder.  
The actions should only be carried out in the specified order:  
1
1. Pull off the connector in the direction of the arrow→ Fig. 2

2. Loosen three bolts with the screwdriver→ Fig. 3  
. If necessary, use a suitable interchangeable blade.  
3. Remove the bulb holder→ Fig. 3.  
4. Replace defective bulbs with a new bulb of the same type.  
Fitting the tail light cluster  
The actions should only be carried out in the specified order:  
1. Carefully insert the bulb holder→ Fig. 3 into the tail light cluster.

2. Secure the bulb holder on the tail light cluster using the three screws→ Fig. 3  
.
3. Check that the bulb holder is positioned correctly and securely.

4. Fit the connector on the bulb holder→ Fig. 2  
.
5. Insert the tail light cluster into the opening in the vehicle body and carefully push it into the holder→ Fig. 1.

6. Tighten the securing bolts fully → Fig. 1  
.
7. Check that the tail light cluster is positioned correctly and securely.  
8. Close the boot lid or wing doors (→ Boot lid).
