Self-help -> Fitting the towing eye at front for Your Volkswagen Caddy SUV Fifth Generation (2020-2025)

NOTICE  
Vehicles with a factory-fitted towing bracket must useonly tow-bars that are specially designed for attachment to a  
ball coupling neck. Using an unsuitable tow-bar can damage the ball coupling neck and the vehicle. You should use a  
tow rope instead.  
Fitting the towing eye at front

The towing eye mounting is located under a cover on the right side of the front bumper.  
The towing eye must always be kept in the vehicle.  
Observe the notes on driving while towing (→ Tow-starting and towing).  
Fitting the towing eye at front  
Remove the towing eye from the vehicle toolkit in the luggage compartment (→ Vehicle toolkit).  
Push the side area of the cover in the direction of the arrow to release the cover→ Fig. 1.  
Pull the cover forwards to remove it and leave it to hang from the vehicle.  
Turn the towing eye into the mountas shown by the arrowand tighten as far as possible→ Fig. 2 , . Use a  
suitable object to screw the towing eye fully and securely into the mounting.  
Once you have finished towing, remove the towing eye by unscrewing itin the opposite direction to the arrow.  
Insert the cap in the respective recess and press in until it engages.  
If necessary clean the towing eye and place them back in the vehicle toolkit in the luggage compartment.  
NOTICE  
The towing eye must always be screwed fully and securely into the mounting. Otherwise, the towing eye can be torn  
out of the mounting when the vehicle is being tow-started or towed.
