Introduction
CUPRA recommends having the dodge and
turn assistance systems activated except in
the exceptions described in section
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) maintains a
constant speed set by the driver. When
approaching another vehicle in front, the
ACC detects it and adapts the speed auto-
matically, maintaining a distance set by
the driver.

If the ACC does not work as described in
this chapter, do not use it until it has been
checked by a specialised workshop. CUPRA
recommends visiting a specialised CUPRA
dealer or any SEAT dealership.
The system may not react in time to sta-

queue), particularly at high speeds. React
soon enough to avoid a hazardous situa-

those in the Drive Profile.

following cases:
Overtaking
If the vehicle stops for several minutes.
If a door is opened.
When the turn signal is switched on for over-
taking, the ACC reduces the distance from
the vehicle in front to help with the overtak-

not be exceeded.
WARNING
If the message ACC ready to start is dis-

and the vehicle in front moves off, your ve-

case, any obstacles in the road may not be
detected. This may cause serious accidents
and injuries.

countries.

extend or reactivate this warning by pressing

Other stationary obstacles
Pay special attention when using ACC in the
following situations:
The ACC may not react to stationary vehi-
cles. If, for example, a vehicle detected by
the ACC turns or moves over and there is a
stationary vehicle in front of it, the ACC will

not react to the second vehicle Fig. 175
.
›››
The ACC may not detect the vehicle in front
on a curve, or may regulate the distance
from vehicles in other lanes Fig. 174 .
›››
WARNING
Using the ACC in the above situations can
cause serious accidents and injuries, and
you could break the law.
Vehicles outside the sensor zone
In the following situations the ACC may not
react, or may react slowly or inappropriately:
