The set speed can be incorrectly adjusted
or called up by mistake. There is a risk of
accident, injury, or property damage. Ad-
just the set speed to the traffic conditions.
Watch surrounding traffic closely and ac-
tively intervene where appropriate
The system cannot serve as a substitute
for the driver’s personal judgment. Due to
the system limits, deceleration can be late.
There may be a risk of accidents or risk of
damage to property. Be aware of the sur-
rounding traffic situation at all times. Ad-
just the distance to the traffic and weather
conditions and maintain the prescribed
safety distance, possibly by braking.
An interrupted cruise control can be contin-
ued by calling up the stored speed. The dif-
ference between the current speed and the
stored speed should be as little as possible.

1. To adjust the distance, go through
the menu as follows: Apps menu /
"Vehicle" / "Driving settings" / "Driver
Assistance" / "Driving" / "Distance
control" / "Distance".
Continuing cruise control while
vehicle is stationary
If the cruise control is stopped, the driver
may need to confirm their intention to drive
off in certain situations.
2. Select the desired setting.
The displays show the following:
Automatic adaptation of the distance
Depending on vehicle equipment and na-
tional-market version, Distance Control can
be configured to automatically adjust the
distance to the preceding vehicle within the
set distance. The system analyzes the traffic
situation and ambient conditions, e.g., poor
visibility.
The speed set for the speed
control system is shown in
gray below the speedometer.
The indicator light illuminates green.
To have the distance adjusted automatically,
go through the menu as follows: Apps
menu / "Vehicle" / "Driving settings" /
"Driver Assistance" / "Driving" / "Distance
control" / "Situational distance control".
Cruise control can be continued as follows:
–
Pressing the accelerator pedal.
–
Press the rocker button on the
left side of the steering wheel.

Press the button on the left side
of the steering wheel.
