REAR VIEW MONITOR (for the
Middle East and Mexico)
When the shift lever is shifted into the “R” (Reverse)
position, the monitor display shows the view to the rear
of the vehicle.

Scroll Direction:
Camera Settings:
Adjusts the direction of the menu scroll. Choose
either the up arrow or the down arrow.
See “Adjusting screen (for models with navigation
system)” (P.4-9) for details.
The system is designed as an aid to the driver in
detecting large stationary objects to help avoid
damaging the vehicle. The system will not detect small
objects below the bumper and may not detect objects
close to the bumper or on the ground.
Clock:
Temperature Unit:
Select the corresponding keys to adjust the settings.
Select the temperature unit from 8C and 8F.

Time Format:
Touch Click:
The time setting can be selected from 12 hour and
24 hour formats.
Turns the touchscreen click feature on or off. When
turned on, a click sound will be heard every time a key
on the screen is touched.
WARNING:
Date Format:
The day, month and year display can be selected
from five formats.
Failure to follow the warnings and instructions
for proper use of the rear view monitor could
result in serious injury or death.
Beep Tones:
Turns the beep tones feature on or off. When turned
on, a beep sound will be heard as a pop-up message
appears on the screen.
Clock Mode:
Select the clock mode from Manual, Time Zone
and Auto.

The rear view camera is a convenience but it
is not substitute for proper backing.

Factory Settings:
When “Manual” is selected, you can set the clock
mode manually from the “Set Clock Manually”
screen.
Always turn your head and visually check
that it is safe to reverse before doing so.
Always back up slowly.
Select this key to return all settings to default.
Software Licenses:
Select “Auto” to automatically maintain the time
using GPS.

Underneath the bumper and the corner
areas of the bumper cannot be viewed on
the rear view monitor because of its mon-
itoring range limitation.
Select this key to view software license information.

Set Clock Manually:
Mode (AM/PM), Hours, Minutes, Day, Month and
Year can be set manually if “Manual” is selected in
the Clock Mode setting.

Objects viewed in the rear view monitor
differ from actual distance because a wide-
angle lens is used.

Daylight Savings Time:
Turns the daylight savings time on or off.
Time Zone:
Objects viewed in the rear view monitor
appear visually opposite, just like ones
viewed in the inside and outside rearview
mirrors.
Select the applicable time zone from the list.
Language:

Make sure that the back door is securely
closed when backing up.
Select a language to be displayed on the screen.
Do not put anything on the rear view camera.
The rear view camera is installed above the
number plate.
