When operating the defogger continuously,  
be sure to start the engine. Otherwise, it may  
cause the battery to discharge.

Make sure that all passengers have their  
hands, etc. inside the vehicle before operat-  
ing the power windows.  
When cleaning the inner side of the window,  
be careful not to scratch or damage the  
electrical conductors on the surface of the  
window.  
Never leave children or adults who would  
normally require the support of others alone  
in the vehicle. They could unknowingly  
activate switches or controls and inadver-  
tently become involved in an accident.  
SIC4521  
The horn switch operates regardless of the ignition  
switch position except when the battery is discharged.  
The power windows operate when the ignition switch  
is in the “ON” position.  
When the horn switch is pushed and held, the horn will  
sound. Releasing the horn switch will cease the horn  
sound.  
To open a window, push down the power window  
switch.  
To close a window, pull up the power window switch.  
Driver’s window switch  
SIC4522  
The driver’s switch, the main switch, can control all  
windows.

Locking passengers’ windows:  
the window as it is closing by the automatic function.  
When the control unit detects an obstacle, the window  
will be lowered immediately.  
Automatic function

passengers’ windows cannot be operated.  
Depending on the environment or driving conditions,  
the auto-reverse function may activate if an impact or  
load similar to something being caught in the window  
occurs.  
To cancel the passengers’ windows lock, push the lock

button

again to release the passengers’ window

Passenger’s window switch  
If the window does not close automatically  
If the power window automatic function (closing only)  
does not operate properly, perform the following  
procedure to initialize the power window system.  
SIC4524  
1. Place the ignition switch in the “ON” position.  
2. Close the door.  
The automatic function is available for the switch that  
has an mark on its surface.  
3. Open the window completely by operating the  
power window switch.  
The automatic function enables a window to fully open  
or close without holding the switch down or up.  
4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close  
the window, and then hold the switch more than 3  
seconds after the window is closed completely.  
To fully open the window, push the power window  
switch down to the second detent and release the  
switch. To fully close the window, pull the power  
window switch up to the second detent and release  
the switch. The switch does not have to be held during  
window operation.  
SIC4523  
The passenger’s switch can control its corresponding  
window.  
5. Release the power window switch. Operate the  
window by the automatic function to confirm the  
initialization is complete.  
When the passengers’ windows lock button on the  
driver’s switch is pushed in, the passenger’s switch  
cannot be operated.  
If the power window automatic function does not  
operate properly after performing the procedure above,  
have your vehicle checked by a NISSAN dealer.  
To stop the window open/close operation during the  
automatic function, push down or pull up the switch in  
opposite directions.  
Auto-reverse function:  
WARNING:  
There is a small distance just before the closed  
position which cannot be detected. Make sure  
that all passengers have their hands, etc. inside  
the vehicle before closing the windows.  
The auto-reverse function enables  
a
window to  
automatically reverse when something is caught in
