ditional driving aid.

The function does not

driver. It cannot, therefore, un-

der any circumstances replace

the vigilance or the responsibili-

ty of the driver. Check the tyre

pressures, including the emer-

gency spare wheel, once a

month.

Operating conditions

In order to provide a reliable warning

in the event of significant pressure

loss, the system must be reset with

an inflation pressure equal to one of

those shown on the tyre inflation

pressure label (reference values)

ꢀ 350.

This system detects a loss of pres-

sure in one of the tyres by measuring

the wheel speed while driving.

Resetting should always be carried

out after checking the tyre pressure

of all four tyres when cold.

In the following situations, the sys-

tem risk coming into action late or

not functioning correctly:

The warning light

and stays on to warn the driver in the

event of insufficient tyre pressure

(deflated, punctured tyre, etc.).

– system not reset after reinflation

or any operation on the wheels;

When fitted to the vehicle, this sys-

tem notifies the driver if one or more

tyres lose pressure.

– incorrectly reset system: tyre pres-

sures different from the recom-

mended pressures;

– significant change in load or distri-

bution of load on one side of the ve-

hicle;

– sporty driving with strong acceler-

ation;

– driving on snowy or slippery sur-

face;

This should be performed:

– after each re-inflation or resetting

of tyre pressure;

– after changing a wheel;

– after swapping a wheel (however,

this practice is not recommended).

– driving with snow chains;

– fitting a single new tyre;

– use of tyres not approved by the

network.

Tyre pressures must correspond to

the current usage of the vehicle

(empty, carrying a load, motorway

driving, etc.). Respect the tyre pres-

sures (including the emergency

spare wheel). Check them at least

once a month and before a long jour-

ney (refer to the label on the edge of

the driver’s door ꢀ 348).

Tyre pressure must be

checked before starting

the resetting procedure.

The system will not issue a

warning if the pressure does not

correspond to the recommend-

ed pressure.

The resetting procedure must be

carried out while the vehicle is sta-

tionary and the ignition is switched

on.

Readjustment of tyre pres-

sures

The pressure of the four tyres must

be set when cold (refer to the label

located on the edge of the driver's

door) ꢀ 350.

A sudden loss of pressure

in a tyre (burst tyre, etc.)

may not be immediately

detected by the system.

If tyre pressures cannot be checked

when the tyres are cold, the recom-

mended pressures should be in-

creased by 0.2 to 0.3 bar (3 PSI).

launch the resetting of the tyre pres-

sure reference value.

Never deflate a hot tyre.

Tyre pressure faults

After each reinflation or readjust-

ment of the tyre pressure, launch the

resetting of the tyre pressure refer-

ence value.

Replacing wheels/tyres

Only use equipment approved by the

brand network, otherwise the sys-

tem risks late activation or incorrect

operationꢀ 348.

After each change of wheel/tyre,

readjust the tyre pressure and

launch the reset of the tyre pressure

reference value.

Emergency spare wheel

The table lists the warning mes-

sages that appear on the instrument

panel 4 if the system detects a tyre

pressure fault.

The information on the instrument

panel signals any potential tyre

pressure faults (e.g. deflated or

punctured tyre).

If fitted on the vehicle, readjust the

tyre pressure and launch the reset-

ting of the tyre pressure reference

value.

Tyre repair product and infla-

tion kit

Only use equipment approved by the

brand network, otherwise there is

risk of the system being activated

late or not working correctly ꢀ 351.

After using the tyre inflation kit,

readjust the tyre pressure and

puncture has been detected. Check and ad-

just the pressure of the four tyres when cold

and reset the system.

cessful. Check and readjust the tyre pressure

before re-launching the resetting procedure.

Check tyre press and init.

flashes, then stays on

This indicates a fault in the system. Consult an

approved Dealer.

Check TPW

flashes, then stays on, along with

the warning light

This indicates that an emergency spare wheel

different in size to the other four wheels has

been fitted to the vehicle. The system remains

unavailable until a wheel identical in size to

the other wheels has been fitted and the re-

setting procedure has been carried out.
