With the vehicle stationary, the

electronic parking brake can be

used to immobilise the vehicle:

To park on a slope or while towing a

trailer, for example, pull switch 4 for

a few seconds to enable maximum

For safety reasons, automatic re-

driver’s door is open or not shut

moving without the driver). The "Re-

lease parking brake manually" mes-

To do this:

– engage any gear or the P position:

the drive wheels will be mechanical-

ly locked by the driveshaft;

– stop the engine by pressing the

engine Start/Stop button 1 ;

– unfasten the driver's seat belt;

– open the driver's door;

– manually release the electronic

parking brake (please see the para-

graph on "Manually releasing the

electronic parking brake"). Make

sure the vehicle is stable;

If the conditions and the slope

require it, chock the wheels of

the vehicle.

tion is activated.

If the braking force is maintained,

the parking brake is applied auto-

matically when:

"Autohold" function

Vehicle stopped (e.g. at a red light,

an intersection, a traffic jam, etc.),

the function ensures braking force

even when the driver releases the

brake pedal.

– the driver exits the vehicle;

or

The braking force is released as

soon as the driver accelerates suffi-

ciently with a gear engaged.

– the vehicle is immobilised for more

than approximately three minutes.

Conditions for maintaining the

braking force

Upon each start-up, the

function continues the

mode set at the time the

engine was last switched off.

The following conditions must be

met:

– the driver's seat belt is fastened;

and

– the electronic parking brake is re-

leased;

and

– the vehicle is not stationary on a

very steep slope.

The maintained braking force is con-

firmed by the

warning light on

the instrument panel.

Conditions for interrupting the

braking force

The following conditions must be

met:

– the driver accelerates sufficiently

with a gear engaged;

or

– the driver disables the function.
