Driving -> Speed limiter for Your Renault Symbioz 4 Door First Generation (2024-2026)

SPEED LIMITER  
Active driver assist;  
Adaptive Cruise Control;  
cruise control;  
speed limiter;  
pedal will allow you to exceed the  
programmed speed except in an  
emergency (refer to information on  
"Exceeding the limit speed").  
The speed limiter function controls  
the engine and braking system to  
help you not to exceed a driving  
speed that you have chosen, known  
as the limit speed.  
OFF.  
Switching on  
2. Puts the function on standby and  
stores the limited speed (0).

Depending on the vehicle,  
you can link the speed  
limiter function to the  
"Road sign detection" function  
217.

(RES).

the limit speed or to store the cur-  
rent speed (SET/-).  
5. Switch to activate and increase  
the limit speed or to recall the stored  
limit speed (SES/+).

When the "OFF" mode is selected  
before the ignition is switched off,  
the "Speed limiter" function will be  
activated by default the next time  
the engine is started.  
Driving  
When a limit speed has been set but  
not yet reached, driving is similar to  
driving a vehicle without the speed  
limiter function.  
Once you have reached the stored  
speed, no effort on the accelerator

+): the limit speed replaces the dash-  
es and, depending on the vehicle,  
the 7 warning light appears in white.  
The minimum stored speed is 19 mph  
(30 km/h).  
Automatic speed limiter with  
speed limit sign recognition  
(depending on subscription: without  
a subscription this function cannot  
be activated. To manage your sub-  
scription, see the multimedia in-  
structions.)

Varying the limit speed  
Using the camera, the "Road sign  
detection" function 217 and the  
map associated with the subscrip-  
tion, the system automatically limits  
the vehicle speed when a speed limit  
road sign is identified and passed.  
Activation/deactivation  
Press switch 1 as many times as nec-  
essary to select the speed limiter A .  
The 7 warning light appears in grey.  
The "Speed limiter ready: SET to ac-  
tivate" message appears on the in-  
strument panel accompanied by  
dashes to indicate that the speed  
limiter function is activated and  
waiting for a limit speed to be  
stored.  
Note: depending on the vehicle,  
when the vehicle is started, the  
speed limiter is automatically se-  
lected if the function A or OFF was  
selected the last time the vehicle  
was stopped.  
From the multimedia screen, in the  
"Vehicle" world, select "Driving as-  
sistance". Then, in the "Comfort"  
tab, select "To speed limitations" in  
the "Adaptive regulation" field.  
Note: you can also activate/deacti-  
vate by pressing and holding the  
contextual button 6 .  
The limit speed may be changed by  
pressing repeatedly or holding  
down:  
switch 5 (SET/+) to increase the  
speed;  
switch 4 (SET/-) to reduce speed.  
Exceeding the limit speed  
It is possible to exceed the limit  
speed at any moment. To do this:  
press the accelerator pedal firmly  
and fully beyond the point of resis-  
tance.  
To store the current speed, press the  
4 switch (SET/-) or the 5 switch (SET/

SPEED LIMITER  
When exceeding the speed limit, the  
speed limit flashes in yellow on the  
instrument panel.  
Then, release the accelerator pedal:  
the speed limiter function will return  
as soon as you reach a speed lower  
than the memorised speed.  
Note: depending on the vehicle, it is  
also possible to exceed the speed  
limit by pressing the accelerator  
pedal until it is near the point of re-  
sistance. In this case, an beep is  
emitted in addition to the alert dis-  
played on the instrument panel.  
When driving down a steep slope,  
the system may not maintain the  
limit speed: in this case the limited  
speed flashes in red on the instru-  
ment panel and a beep sounds at  
regular intervals to inform you.  
Recalling the limit speed  
If a speed has been stored, it can be  
recalled by pressing the switch 3  
(RES).

When the speed limiter is  
set to standby, pressing  
switch 4 or 5 reactivates  
the function without taking into  
account the stored speed: it is  
the speed at which the vehicle  
is moving that is taken into ac-  
count.  
Putting the function on stand-  
by  
You must keep your  
feet near the pedals to  
be ready to react in an  
emergency.  
Switching off the function  
If the speed limiter is  
not available (after  
several attempts to ac-  
tivate), contact an ap-  
proved dealer.  
The speed limiter function is sus-  
pended when you press switch 2 (0).  
The limit speed is stored and dis-  
played in grey on the instrument  
panel.  
Limited speed cannot be main-  
tained

SPEED LIMITER  
The speed limiter function is inter-  
rupted when you press the switch 1  
to deselect the speed limiter. In this  
case, the speed is no longer stored  
The 7 warning light disappears from  
the instrument panel to confirm that  
the function has stopped.

To exit the driving assis-  
tance, press switch 1 as  
many times as necessary  
until OFF. The message "Driving  
Assistance deactivated" ap-  
pears on the instrument panel.  
In this case, the next time the  
engine is started, the "Speed  
limiter" function will be activat-  
ed and waiting for a speed limit  
to be stored.
