Range
Make sure that the correct battery
type is being used, and that the bat-
tery is in good condition and insert-
ed correctly. Its service life is ap-
proximately two years: it should be
replaced when the "Keycard Battery
Low" message appears on the in-
strument panel ꢀ 36.
Press button 4 to switch on the
card operating range
dipped beam headlights and the ex-
terior lighting for approximately 20
seconds. This can be used, for exam-
ple, to identify the vehicle from a dis-
tance when parked in a car park.
1. Unlocking the doors and luggage
compartment.
This varies according to the sur-
roundings: take care not to acciden-
tally lock or unlock the vehicle by in-
advertently pressing the buttons on
the card.
Note: if a door or the luggage com-
partment door is open or not proper-
ly shut, the vehicle will not be locked.
A beep sounds and the hazard warn-
ing lights and side repeaters do not
flash.
2. Locks all the opening elements.
3. Locking/unlocking the boot only.
4. Switching on the lighting remote-
ly.
The card is used for:
– locking/unlocking the opening ele-
ments (doors, luggage compart-
ment and fuel filler flap) ꢀ 39;
– switching on the vehicle lighting
remotely;
Press and hold button 4 for approxi-
mately two seconds to switch on the
exterior lighting and emit a sound.
Note: press button 4 again to switch
off the lighting.
– automatically closing the electric
windows remotely ꢀ 309;
– starting the engine ꢀ 141.
