Getting to know your vehicle -> Steering for Your Renault Symbioz 4 Door First Generation (2024-2026)

STEERING  
The function switches off automati-  
cally after the regulation phase of  
approximately 30 minutes. The indi-  
cator light built into the switch 3  
stays on.

Note: if the function has switched  
off automatically, press the switch 3  
twice to reactivate it.  
If the switch 3 is not pressed again,  
the function will be reactivated the  
next time the ignition is switched on.  
- Manually:  
To deactivate the function during  
the regulation phase, press the  
switch 3 . The indicator light built into  
the switch 3 goes out.  
(depending on the vehicle)  
This function heats the steering  
wheel 2 .  
Power-assisted steering  
Never drive with an inadequately  
charged battery.  
Lower the lever 1 and set the steer-  
ing wheel to the required position.  
Operating principle  
Then, raise the lever fully, beyond the  
point of resistance to lock the steer-  
ing wheel.  
Make sure that the steering wheel is  
correctly locked.  
When the temperature is reached,  
the function regulates the tempera-  
ture of the heated areas for approxi-  
mately 30 minutes and then switch-  
es off automatically.  
Variable power assisted steering  
The variable power-assisted steer-  
ing system is equipped with an elec-  
tronic control system which alters  
the level of assistance to suit the ve-  
hicle speed.  
Steering is made easier during park-  
ing manoeuvres (for added comfort)  
while the force needed to steer in-  
creases progressively as the speed  
Activating the function  
With the ignition on, press the switch  
3 , the indicator light built into the  
switch lights up.  
Deactivating the function  
- Automatically:  
For safety reasons, on-  
ly adjust the steering  
wheel when the vehicle  
is stationary.

rises (for enhanced safety at high  
speeds).  
Never leave the steering  
wheel on full lock when  
the vehicle is stationary.  
Special case

Depending on the vehicle, in the  
event of a battery fault (disconnect-  
ed, discharged battery, etc.), the  
steering wheel angle must be reset.  
To do this:  
With the engine switched  
off, or if there is a system  
fault, it is still possible to  
turn the steering wheel. The  
force required will be greater.  
the vehicle stationary and on flat  
ground;  
with only the driver in the vehicle,  
start the engine: the  
warning  
light and/or, depending on the vehi-  
cle, the "Turn steering wheel fully  
right and left" message is displayed  
on the instrument panel;  
turn the steering wheel fully to the  
left and then to the right, applying  
force when it arrives at the stop.  
Switch off the engine and wait for  
around a minute. When the engine  
next starts, the warning light and/or,  
depending on vehicle, the message  
will disappear.  
Note: the power-assisted steering  
depends on the driving mode select-  
ed in the "MULTI-SENSE" menu
