Removing and installing sun visor  
Special tools and workshop equipment required  
♦ pliers - T10558A-  
Removal and installation are described for left side of vehicle as  
an example.

Removing  
– Swing sun visor towards front.  
– Remove illuminated vanity mirror ⇒ Electrical system; Rep.  
gr. 96 ; Lights, vehicles without glass roof; Removing and  
installing rear illuminated vanity mirror [W49]/[W50] .  
– Detach sun visor -2- on centre mount -1- and fold it aside.  
– Lever off caps -3- using a small commercially available  
screwdriver.

Multivan 2025 ➤ , Multivan 2022 ➤  
General body repairs, interior - Edition 09.2024  
– Position pliers - T10558A- centrally in retaining clips -3-.  
– Detach foremost (when seen in direction of travel) retaining  
clip -3- in sun visor bracket -1- using pliers - T10558A- .  
– To prevent front retaining clip -3- from engaging, pull sun  
visor -2- lightly downwards.  
– Detach rearmost (when seen in direction of travel) retaining  
clip -3- in sun visor bracket -1- using pliers - T10558A- .  
– Pull sun visor -2- downwards.  
NOTICE  
Risk of damage to electrical wiring by pulling too forcefully.  
– Carefully pull electrical wiring out of opening.

– Disconnect electrical connector.  
– Remove clamping plate.  
– Remove sun visor.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
– Wrap electrical connector with one layer of foam tape.  
– Reach with a finger into recess of vanity mirror light and pull  
moulded headliner down slightly.  
– Position electrical connector between moulded headliner  
and roof cross member.  
– Engage foremost (when seen in direction of travel) retaining  
clip.  
– Engage rearmost (when seen in direction of travel) retaining  
clip.  
– Ensure that both retaining clips are properly engaged.
