Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing  
– Remove front storage compartment ⇒ Rep. gr. 68 ; Remov‐  
ing and installing front storage compartment .  
– Unhook spring elements -arrows- from mountings, and re‐  
move them.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing and installing support leg  
Special tools and workshop equipment required  
♦ Drill, commercially available  
♦ Pop rivet pliers, commercially available  
♦ Suitable drill bit 7 mm, commercially available  
Removal and installation are described for one component of  
the bed frame as an example.

Removing  
– Remove bed frame ⇒ “3.13 Removing and installing bed  
frame/rack”, page 34 .  
– Remove bed pad.  
CAUTION  
Risk of injury caused by flying metal shavings.  
Eyes and skin can suffer irritation or injuries.  
– Put on safety goggles.  
– Put on protective gloves.  
– Drill out pop rivets -1- using commercially available power  
drill.

– Detach support leg -2-.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
– Insert new pop rivets ⇒ Electronic parts catalogue (ETKA)  
using commercially available pop rivet pliers.  
When renewing support leg:  
– Remove retaining ring, and pull out axle.  
– Turn mounting plate by 180°.  
– Fit axle and retaining ring.
