Vehicle to Grid (V2G) charging

Depending on the vehicle, with the

vehicle stationary and connected

using your vehicle's charging cable,

the Vehicle to Grid (V2G) charging al-

lows you to redistribute the energy

stored in your vehicle's battery to

your home and to the power grid.

You must have a compatible two-

way AC charging terminal and have

subscribed to the V2G charging ser-

vice. Please refer to the multimedia

instructions for further information.

When the programming is con-

firmed, the indicator light

lights up on the instrument panel.

Note: charging will start if the engine

is switched off, the vehicle is con-

nected to a power supply and ac-

cess is authorised.

With the vehicle stationary and the

engine running, from the "Vehicle"

Depending on the vehicle,

you may have a digital

key that offers all the

functions of the card. However,

if a card has been left inside the

vehicle and the doors have

been locked with a digital key,

all of the card's functions will be

inhibited.

If the battery is flat, you

can still lock/unlock and

start your vehicle ꢀ 169

ꢀ 65 ꢀ 52.

"Remote lighting" function

1. Unlocking the doors and luggage

compartment.

2. Locks all the opening elements.

Range

Make sure that the correct battery

type is being used, and that the bat-

tery is in good condition and insert-

ed correctly. Its service life is ap-

proximately two years: it should be

replaced when the "Keycard Battery

Low" message appears on the in-

strument panel ꢀ 52.

4. Switching on the lighting remote-

ly.

The card is used for:

– locking/unlocking the opening ele-

ments (doors, luggage compart-

ment door) and folding out or folding

in the front door handles;

– unlocking the charging flap ꢀ 20;

– switching on the vehicle lighting

remotely;

roundings: take care not to acciden-

Press button 4 to switch on the

dipped beam headlights and the ex-

terior lighting for approximately 20

seconds. This can be used, for exam-

ple, to identify the vehicle from a dis-

tance when parked in a car park.

Press and hold button 4 for approxi-

mately two seconds to switch on the

exterior lighting and emit a sound.

Replacement: need for an

additional card

If you lose your card or re-

quire another, you can obtain

one from an approved Dealer.

If a card is replaced, it will be

necessary to take the vehicle

and all its cards to an approved

Dealer to initialise the system.

You may use up to four cards

per vehicle.

Recommendations

Avoid leaving the card in

hot, cold or humid areas.

Do not keep the card in a place

where it could be bent or dam-

aged accidentally, such as in

your back pocket.

Interference

Interference by factors in the imme-

diate vicinity (external installations

or the use of equipment operating

on the same frequency as the re-

mote control) may affect the opera-

tion of the remote control.

Insert the hand strap into the com-

ponent 8 and pass the end of the

strap through the buckle.

Position the strap at the opening 6

and close the casing.

where it may come into

contact with other elec-

tronic equipment (computer,

phone etc.) as this could hinder

its operation.

Note: check that the diameter of the

hand strap cord 7 fits the opening 6 .

Use

Deactivating/activating the

"hands-free" mode

Depending on the vehicle, you can

deactivate/activate unlocking when

approaching and locking when mov-

ing away from the vehicle.

You can also deactivate/activate

the sound signal that is emitted up-

on locking when moving away from

the vehicle ꢀ 139.

while pressing on area A .

There are two ways to unlock/lock

the vehicle:

– in "hands-free" mode, when ap-

– using the card in remote control

minutes after the vehicle has been

locked;

– after several passes in the vicinity

of zone 1 without the doors having

been unlocked.

"Hands-free" unlocking by open-

ing the luggage compartment

Press the luggage compartment

door opening button 4 or use the

card as a remote control to unlock

the vehicle and reactivate "hands-

free" mode.

Special features relating to

"hands-free" locking

After locking in "hands-free" mode,

you have to wait approximately

three seconds to be able to unlock

the vehicle again. During these three

seconds, the door handles can be

tried to make sure that the vehicle is

locked properly.

Note: if a door or the luggage com-

partment door is open or not proper-

ly shut, the vehicle will not be locked.

A beep sounds but the hazard warn-

ing lights and side repeaters do not

flash.

If the card has been within the de-

tection zone 1 for approximately 15

minutes, remote locking is deacti-

vated. To lock the vehicle, press the

button 3 on the card.

The vehicle cannot be remotely

locked if the card is within the zone

2 .

With the card in the zone 1 and the

vehicle locked, press button 4 once

to unlock the entire vehicle.

The front handles are folded out and

the side indicator lights and hazard

warning lights flash once to indicate

that the doors have unlocked.

Special features of the unlocking

system

Under certain circumstances, un-

locking when approaching the vehi-

cle is deactivated:

– if the vehicle has not been used for

eight days;

Using the card as a remote con-

trol

The front handles fold in and the

hazard lights and side repeaters

flash twice to indicate that the

doors have locked and, on some ve-

hicles, the door mirrors fold in auto-

matically.

Depending on the vehicle, press but-

ton 3 twice to lock the vehicle. Press

and hold button 3 to close the front

and rear windows.

Note:

– the maximum distance at which

the vehicle locks depends on the sur-

roundings;

– if a door or the boot is open or not

properly shut, locking is not carried

out. A beep sounds but the hazard

warning lights and side repeaters do

not flash.

While the engine is running, if the

card is no longer in zone 2 after a

door is opened and closed, the "Key-

card Not Detected" message indi-

cates that the card is no longer in-

side the vehicle. This will, for exam-

ple, prevent you from driving away

after dropping off a passenger who

has kept the card on them.

Unlocking with the card

Press the button 5 .

The front handles are folded out and

the side indicator lights and hazard

warning lights flash once to indicate

that the doors have unlocked.

The warning disappears when the

card is detected again.

The card buttons are de-

activated when the en-

gine is running.

If the vehicle is equipped with a

deadlocking function, this allows

you to lock the opening elements

and to prevent the doors from being

unlocked using the interior handles

(for example, by breaking the win-

dow and then trying to open the

door from the inside).

In the case of a vehicle equipped

with a manual (non-motorised) tail-

gate, press the button 6 to unlock/

lock the luggage compartment only.

Note: after unlocking the luggage

compartment only using button 6 , to

unlock the other opening elements it

is necessary:

– to move away from the vehicle in

order to activate the automatic

locking when moving away from the

Press button 2 twice in quick suc-

cession.

Locking is confirmed by two slow

flashes and three quick flashes of

the hazard warning lights and side

indicator lights.

Depending on the vehicle, the door

mirrors may fold in automatically

when the vehicle is locked ꢀ 148.

To deactivate deadlocking

Press the button 1 once.

The hazard warning lights flash

once to indicate that the doors have

been unlocked.

To refit, proceed in the reverse order

then press one of the buttons on the

card four times while you are near

the vehicle: the next time the vehicle

is started, the message will disap-

pear.

When the "Keycard Battery Low"

message appears on the instrument

panel, replace the card battery:

– slide the rear casing 1 downwards

while pressing on area A ;

– remove the battery cover 2 ;

– remove the battery by pressing on

one side and lifting the other;

– replace it according to the direc-

tion and template indicated inside

the cover.

Check that the cover is clipped shut.

Note: when replacing the battery, do

not touch the electronic circuit or

contacts on the card.

Operating faults

The batteries are avail-

able from approved Deal-

ers, and their service life

Precautions relating to

batteries:

If the battery is too weak to ensure

correct operation, you will still be

able to start and lock/unlock the ve-

hicle ꢀ 65.

– keep batteries (new

or used) out of reach of children;

– do not swallow batteries;

approximately two years.

Check that there is no dye on

the battery: risk of an incorrect

electrical contact.

Risk of chemical burns which

may lead to death.

– if ingested or inserted into

any part of the body, consult a

doctor as soon as possible.

If they need to be re-

placed, be sure to use

the same or equivalent

type of battery (consult

an Approved Dealer).

When replacing:

– make sure that the

batteries are correctly

inserted.

Do not throw away your

used batteries as rubbish.

Take them to an ap-
