Caddy California -> Opaque shades for Your Volkswagen Caddy SUV Fifth Generation (2020-2025)

Unfold the ventilation grille→ Fig. 1.  
Open the window .

Insert the ventilation grille into the window seal starting at the front→ Fig. 2  
and then moving to the rear

Place the ventilation grille flat on the window.  
Carefully close the window until the ventilation grille comes into contact with the upper window seal.→  
Removing the ventilation grille  
Open the window.  
Detach the ventilation grille from the window.  
Close the window.  
Fold up the ventilation grille.  
Stow the ventilation grille safely in the luggage compartment.  
WARNING  
Covered windows can impair visibility and driving safety. This can cause accidents and serious injuries.  
Only drive when you have sufficient visibility through all windows.  
Remove all ventilation grilles before starting your journey.  
WARNING  
Careless or unsupervised use of the electric windows can cause serious injuries.  
The electric windows should only be opened or closed when you are sure that nobody is in their operating area.  
Opaque shades  
Some opaque shades can be attached to the window frame using magnets. There is a specially shaped shade for

every window → Fig. 1  
. The complete vehicle interior is effectively and fully screened when these are used in  
conjunction with the stowage pockets attached to the rear side windows.  
Fitting shades on the windscreen

Take the shade→ Fig. 1  
out of the storage bag and unfold it.

Swivel the sun visors down → Fig. 1

Pull the rubber bands→ Fig. 1  
over the sun visor.  
Fold the sun visors forwards until they are flat against the windscreen.

Use the velcro fasteners to close the shade around the interior mirror→ Fig. 2

Wedge the lower end of the shade into the gap between the dash panel and the windscreen→ Fig. 1.  
Use the magnets to attach the shades to the side windows.  
Follow the above instructions in reverse order to remove the shades.  
Fold up the windscreen shade and place it securely in its storage bag→

Door window shades

Magnetic curtain  
Magnetic curtains are used as opaque shades for the door windows. Installation is the same on both the left-hand  
and right-hand sides.

Take the magnetic curtains→ Fig. 3  
out of the storage bag and unfold them.  
Fit the magnetic curtains on the corresponding window. The curtains are attached to the window frames using  
magnets.  
To remove the magnetic curtains, grip the outer edge and pull them carefully off the window frame.  
Fold up the magnetic curtains and stow them securely in the storage bag→

Shading the rear window  
Magnetic curtains are used as opaque shades for the rear window.  
Take the magnetic curtain out of the storage bag and unfold it.  
Position the magnetic curtain on the rear window. The curtains are attached to the window frames using magnets.  
Take hold of the magnetic curtain at the outer edge and pull it carefully off the window frame.  
Fold up the magnetic curtain and stow it securely in the storage bag→

Take the shade for the panoramic tilting sunroof out of the storage bag and unfold it.

Assemble the folding spring-loaded rods→ Fig. 4

Insert the folding spring-loaded rods into the side tunnels→ Fig. 4  
on the right and left of the shade.

Use the spring-loaded rods to position the shade on the roof. The straight edge of the end cap→ Fig. 4

Use the magnets to attach the shade to the roof frame.  
Follow the above instructions in reverse order to remove the opaque shades from the tilting panoramic sunroof.  
Pull the folding spring-loaded rods out of the side tunnels.  
Disassemble the folding spring-loaded rods. The folding spring-loaded rods stay in the central tunnel on the shade.  
Fold up the shade and stow it securely in the storage bag→

Objects that are not secured, or are secured incorrectly, can cause serious injuries in the event of a sudden driving or  
braking manoeuvre or accident.  
Store the removable shades in the storage bag provided, and stow it securely in the vehicle.  
WARNING  
Obscured windows can impair visibility and driving safety.  
Only drive when you have sufficient visibility through all windows.  
Remove all shades before driving.  
NOTICE  
Do not place any objects that are sensitive to magnetism, such as payment cards, in the storage bag with the  
magnetic curtains. They could be permanently damaged.  
Assembling and dismantling the hob

To open, press the release button on the handle of the top drawer and pull the hob out to its end position→ Fig. 1.  
You must hear and feel the hob click into place.
