● The backrests on the second row of seats must always be in place while the vehicle is in motion.
NOTICE
Always position the bed with the side supports in the mounts on the hinge posts. Otherwise the bed could be
damaged under strain.
The bed is designed for a maximum load of
200 kg.
Removing and fitting the bed frame

The bed frame and bed can be removed when not in use.
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles recommends that you install and remove the bed frame with the help of a second
person.
Removing the bed frame
—Open the boot lid (→ Boot lid).
—If necessary, remove the stowage pocket for the camping chairs and the folding table (→ Storage pocket for table
and chairs).
—If necessary, fold up the bed (→ Bed). The bed must be folded up and secured.
—Unlock the four release mechanisms on the left and right of the bed frame→ Fig. 1.
—Lift the bed frame upwards out of the side mounts.
—Lift the bed frame rearwards out of the luggage compartment→

Installing the bed frame
—Lift the bed frame into the luggage compartment.
—Set the bed frame on the side mounts and engage securely.
—Check that the bed frame is engaged securely→
.
—If necessary, attach the stowage pocket for the camping chairs and table to the frame.
—Close the boot lid.
WARNING
The bed frame is heavy and can cause serious injuries due to its weight.
