Infotainment system -> Android Auto for Your Volkswagen Caddy SUV Fifth Generation (2020-2025)

No turning instructions are shown on the instrument cluster display.  
You can accept or reject incoming calls or end a telephone call via the multifunction steering wheel.  
Voice control  
Tap to start voice control on the Infotainment system.  
Tap and hold to start voice control(Siri) on the connected iPhone.  
Android Auto  
Requirements for usingAndroid Auto  
The following conditions must be fulfilled in order to useAndroid Auto:  
The mobile telephone – hereinafter referred to as a smartphone – must supportAndroid Auto.  
An Android Auto app must be installed on the smartphone.  
The smartphone must be connected to the Infotainment system via a USB port with data transfer.  
The USB cable used must be an original cable from the smartphone manufacturer.  
The availability of the technologies is country-specific and may  
vary.  
Information on technical requirements, compatible mobile telephones, certified apps and availability can be  
found on the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles and Android Auto websites, and is also available from your  
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles dealership.  
Making a connection  
Follow the instructions on the Infotainment system screen and the display on the smartphone when establishing a  
connection for the first time.  
The requirements for usingAndroid Auto must be met.  
Start Android Auto:  
1. Touch HOME App-Connect to open the App-Connect main menu.  
2. Touch Android Auto to set up a connection with the smartphone.  
Terminating the connection  
1. Touch Back to Volkswagen in Android Auto mode to access theApp-Connect main menu.  
2. Touch to terminate the active connection.  
Things to note  
The following points apply when anAndroid Auto connection is active:  
An active Android Auto device can also be connected simultaneously to the Infotainment system via Bluetooth(HFP  
profile).  
Telephone functions are possible viaAndroid Auto. If the Android Auto device is connected to the Infotainment  
system via Bluetooth at the same time, the telephone function on the Infotainment system can also be used.  
You cannot use an active Android Auto device as a media device in theMEDIA main menu.  
It is not possible to use theAndroid Auto navigation at the same time as the internal navigation system. The last

route guidance to be started terminates the previously active one.  
You can view information about telephone mode in the instrument cluster display.

Tap to start voice control on the Infotainment system.  
Tap and hold to start voice control on the connected smartphone.  
MirrorLink  
Requirements for using MirrorLink®  
The following conditions need to be fulfilled in order to use MirrorLink:  
The mobile telephone must supportMirrorLink®.  
The mobile telephone must be connected to the Infotainment system via a USB port with data transfer.  
The USB cable used must be an original cable from the mobile telephone manufacturer.  
Depending on the mobile telephone, a suitable Car Mode app must be installed on the device to useMirrorLink®.  
Making a connection  
Follow the instructions on the Infotainment system screen and the display on the mobile device when establishing a  
connection for the first time.  
The prerequisites for usingMirrorLink must be met.  
Starting MirrorLink®  
1. Touch HOME App-Connect to open the App-Connect main menu.  
2. Touch  
to set up a connection with the mobile device.  
Terminating the connection  
1. Tap APP in MirrorLink® mode to open theApp-Connect main menu.  
OR: Tap to open the MirrorLink® main menu.  
2. Touch to terminate the active connection.  
Things to note  
The following points need to be noted during an activeMirrorLink connection:  
An active MirrorLink device can also be connected simultaneously to the Infotainment system via Bluetooth.  
If the MirrorLink device is connected to the Infotainment system via Bluetooth, the telephone function on the  
Infotainment system can also be used.  
An active MirrorLink® device cannot be used as a media device in theMEDIA main menu.  
You can view information about telephone mode in the instrument cluster display.
