Configuring a Wi-Fi hotspot
The Infotainment system can be used as a Wi-Fi hotspot for online access for up to 8 Wi-Fi devices.
You also require a data connection, e.g. via an internal eSIM, in order to establish a connection to the Internet and be
able to use services such as Volkswagen We Connect. The possible types of data connection depend on the country
and on the Infotainment system being used.
Setting up a Wi-Fi connection
1. Touch HOME
Wi-Fi Infotainment system as Hotspot.
Use as mobile
2. Activate the hotspot
checkbox.
3. Search for the name of the Wi-Fi hotspot on the Wi-Fi device.
4. Enter the displayed network key on the Wi-Fi device and confirm.
The Wi-Fi connection is set up. Further inputs may be required on the Wi-Fi device to complete the connection.
5. Repeat the procedure to connect additional Wi-Fi devices.
The name of the hotspot and the network key are automatically generated. You can specify the name of the
hotspot and network key yourself afterwards.
