Configuring the start screen  
You can configure the layout of the function buttons and also the views and displays on the start screen of the display  
and operating unit or have them positioned on the basis of factory layout templates.  
1. Tap and hold a function button until the function button is visibly highlighted.  
2. Drag the function button to your chosen position and release.  
Scrolling through lists, switching tracks  
Select your preferred function, setting or track on the touchscreen.  
Moving objects, adjusting the volume  
Move objects on the screen to adjust settings, e.g. for sliders, or to reposition parts of a menu.  
Personalise function buttons and views depending on equipment (→ Introduction to the Infotainment system).  
Zooming in and out on images and maps on the screen  
Recommendation: Use your thumb and forefinger.  
Tap and hold the screen with two fingers at the same time.  
To enlarge images and maps, move fingers slowly apart.  
To minimise images and maps, move fingers slowly together.  
Personalising the Infotainment system  
Depending on the equipment, you can personalise the Infotainment system to permit faster access to favourite or  
frequently used functions.  
Adjusting the start screen  
1. Tap and hold a menu until it is highlighted on the screen.  
2. Drag the menu to your chosen position and release.  
Configuring tiles  
You can find tiles for accessing additional menus and functions on the Infotainment system views. Configure the tiles  
by removing or adding views.  
1. Tap and hold the tile until an additional window appears.  
2. Touch to open the configuration function.  
Touch followed by your preferred template to add a new display with tiles. New tiles are created without  
functions.  
Tap to remove a view containing tiles.  
3. Touch to close the configuration function.

4. To return to the view, touch or a free area on the screen.  
At least two tiles are always available. These cannot be removed. With some equipment levels, you can add  
two more tiles. In total, a maximum of four tiles can be displayed.  
Adapting tiles  
Adjust the tiles and the functions of the tiles displayed in the Infotainment system views to personalise the  
Infotainment system to suit your requirements.  
1. Tap and hold the tile until an additional window appears.  
2. Touch your preferred tile in order to add functions to it.  
3. Touch the desired function in the additional window. Various functions are available depending on the size of  
the tile.  
4. Select a tile and then touch to remove a function from that tile.  
5. To return to the view, touch or a free area on the screen.  
More functions are available for some tiles than are visible at first glance in the additional window. Swipe to  
the left or right in the additional window to see all functions.  
Adapting drop-down menus  
Personalise the drop-down menu in the Infotainment system for quicker access to your favourites or frequently used  
functions.  
1. Touch and hold the function until an additional window appears.  
2. Tap your chosen function in the additional window and hold it until the function is visibly highlighted.  
3. Drag the function to your chosen position and release.  
The active function is automatically removed from the drop-down menu and added to the additional window.  
More functions are available for the drop-down menu than are visible at first glance in the additional window.  
Swipe to the left or right in the additional window to see all functions.

Refer to the Infotainment system instructions for more information and tips on personalisation.

Changing settings  
The meanings of the following symbols apply to all system and sound settings.  
Changes are automatically stored when a menu is closed.
