The sliding door will lock again automatically, provided that the vehicle was locked beforehand and as long as there is
no valid vehicle key inside the vehicle.
If another control point for the sliding door is pressed during closing by the Kick and Close function, the Kick and
Close function is cancelled immediately.
Activating or deactivating Kick and Close
The Kick and Close function can be activated and deactivated together with the Easy Open function in theVehicle
menu in the Infotainment system (→ Sliding door, Easy Open).
The Easy Close function is available only when Keyless Access is activated .
CAUTION
If a valid vehicle key is located close to the sliding door, the Kick and Close function can sometimes be operated
accidentally, causing the sliding door to close, e.g. from a powerful jet of water or steam or if maintenance and
repair work is carried out. If the sliding door is closed by mistake it can cause damage to people and material
damage.
● Always make sure that there are no valid vehicle keys left unattended in the operating range of the sliding door.
● Always switch off the Kick and Close function via the Infotainment system before any maintenance or repair work
is carried out.

1. Switch the ignition off and then back on again.

button. The sliding door closes with maximum force and without the roll-back

The audible warning will sound continuously if the manual closing is not successful. Pull the outer door handle and
carefully close the door manually →

WARNING
Closing the automatic sliding doors without the roll-back function could lead to severe injuries.
● Always take care when closing the automatic sliding doors.
● Ensure that nobody obstructs the path of the automatic sliding doors, especially if the roll-back function is not
active.
● The roll-back function does not prevent fingers or other body parts getting pinched against the door frame and
becoming injured.
When the tank flap is open, the left electric sliding door is locked from the inside and can only be opened
manually from the outside.
