Automatically opening and closing the sliding doors  
1. Press the

Or: With Easy Open or Kick and Close (→ Sliding door, Easy Open) and (→ Sliding door, Kick and Close).

When a control point is operated, the sliding door opens or closes automatically. When a control point is operated  
again, the direction of the sliding door is reversed immediately.  
Acoustic warnings are given during closing.  
By operating the door release lever in the same direction as the door is moving, the door stops in any intermediate  
position. Complete opening of the sliding door after stopping in an intermediate position may first require complete  
closing of the sliding door.  
Blocking and releasing the sliding door  
1. Locking: To deactivate the automatic sliding door functions, press the→ Fig. 2 button.  
The yellow indicator lamp in the button lights up when the ignition is switched on. The sliding doors can only be  
opened or closed manually by using more force than usual.  
2. Unlocking: To activate the automatic sliding door functions, press the→ Fig. 2 button again.  
The yellow indicator lamp in the button will go out.  
Roll-back function

The roll-back function for the automatic sliding doors can reduce the risk of injuries while opening and closing the  
sliding doors →

The sliding door opens or stops immediately if it is stiff or obstructed in any way.  
1. Try to open or close the sliding door again.  
2. If necessary, open or close the sliding door as in case of an emergency (→ Sliding door, electric).  
WARNING  
Closing the automatic sliding doors without the roll-back function could lead to severe injuries.  
Always take care when closing the automatic sliding doors.  
Ensure that nobody obstructs the path of the automatic sliding doors, especially if the roll-back function is not  
active.  
The roll-back function does not prevent fingers or other body parts getting pinched against the door frame and  
becoming injured.  
NOTICE  
The vehicle must be locked with the central locking button or the button on the vehicle key before entering a car  
wash. Otherwise the automatic sliding doors could open unexpectedly and any water entering the vehicle could  
cause damage.  
When the tank flap is open, the left electric sliding door is locked. When the sliding door is open, opening of  
the tank flap is prevented.  
Automatically opening the Easy Open sliding door  
The function enables the powered sliding door to be conveniently opened by a targeted foot movement.

Opening the sliding door with Easy Open  
The sliding door can be unlocked and opened with a foot movement if there is a valid vehicle key in the operating  
range of the sliding door (→ Keyless Access).  
1. Stand in front of the sliding door.

2. Move the foot directly under the sliding door with a swift kicking motion→ Fig. 1  
The sliding door opens.

If another control point for the sliding door is pressed during opening by the Easy Open function, the Easy Open  
function is cancelled immediately.
