Drive Belts
On vehicles with Electric Power
Steering (EPS), there is no power
steering belt. Check the compressor
belt only (the alternator belt on
vehicles without air conditioning
system).
On vehicles with A/C
On vehicles without A/C
ALTERNATOR BELT
COMPRESSOR BELT
Check the condition of the drive
belts. Examine the edges of each
belt for cracks or fraying.
Check the tension of the belt by
pushing on it with your thumb
midway between the pulleys.
(On vehicles without A/C)
Alternator belt:
7.5－10.5 mm (0.30－0.41 in)
(On vehicles with A/C)
Compressor belt:
2.0－4.5 mm (0.08－0.18 in)
