Use only new fluid from a sealed container.
Old, inferior, or contaminated fluid may
damage the brake and clutch system. The
use of improper fluids can damage the brake
and clutch system and affect the vehicle’s
stopping ability.

Use only the specified transmission fluid. Do
not mix with other fluids. (See “Recom-
mended fluids/lubricants and capacities”
(P.9-2).)

Clean the filler cap before removing.
Using transmission fluid other than the
specified ones will cause deterioration in
driveability and transmission durability, and
may damage the transmission, which is not
covered by the warranty.
Brake and clutch fluid is poisonous and
should be stored carefully in marked con-
tainers out of the reach of children.

Check the fluid level in the reservoir. If the fluid is

Do not spill the fluid on painted surfaces. This
will damage the paint. If fluid is spilled, wash it
off with plenty of water immediately.
If the fluid must be added frequently, the system should
be thoroughly checked by a NISSAN dealer.
