When using the services, information about the vehicle is transmitted and processed online. This data can also
indirectly provide information about the respective driver, e.g. about driving behaviour. You can find the Privacy Policy
for use of the Volkswagen mobile online services in the Infotainment system under MENU Legal information or
HOME Legal information or
Legal information.
Permanent transfer of the vehicle
If the vehicle has been purchased as a used vehicle or handed over to you by another person for permanent use,
mobile online services may already be activated and the previous user may still have the possibility to view collected
data and control certain vehicle functions via mobile online services.
In the Infotainment system you can see whether a person is assigned to your vehicle as the primary user. In this case,
you can register yourself as the primary user of the vehicle and automatically remove the previous primary user.
Alternatively, you can permanently delete the previous user as the primary user directly in the Infotainment system.
You can also set the vehicle to offline mode and thus restrict communication of your vehicle with the data server of
Volkswagen and processing of vehicle-related and personal data.
