Seatframes -> Removing and installing lumbar support adjustment switch [E176]/[E177] for Your Volkswagen Multivan SUV Seventh Generation (2024-2025)

CAUTION  
Pyrotechnic components can trigger unintentionally.  
Risk of injury.  
– Keep far away from pyrotechnic components when switch‐  
ing on ignition.  
– Switch on ignition.  
– Read and clear event memory using ⇒ Vehicle diagnostic  
tester.

NOTICE  
Risk of damage to thread in seat frame.  
– Keep bolts straight.  
– Renew seat frame if thread is damaged.  
– Screw in bolts -2- by hand.  
– Move front seat to foremost position.  
– Screw in bolts -1- hand-tight.  
– Tighten bolts -1-.  
– Move front seat to rearmost position.  
– Tighten bolts -2-.  
Tightening torques  
♦ ⇒ Rep. gr. 72 ; Assembly overview – front seat

Removing and installing front seat,  
seat frame  
Removal and installation are described for left side of vehicle as  
an example.  
Removing  
– Remove front seat ⇒ Rep. gr. 72 ; Removing and installing  
front seat .

– Remove seat trim ⇒ Rep. gr. 72 ; Removing and installing  
seat trim .

– Unscrew nut -2-, and remove earth wire -1-.  
– Unscrew bolts -3-.  
– Detach wiring harnesses from seat frame -1-.  
– Unscrew nuts -2-.  
– Remove seat frame -2-.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
– Position seat frame -1- via rear stud.  
– Screw in bolts -3- by hand, and tighten them.  
– Screw on nuts -2- by hand, and tighten them.
