Seatframes -> Removing and installing seat rails for Your Volkswagen Multivan SUV Seventh Generation (2024-2025)

General body repairs, interior - Edition 09.2024

– Drill out pop rivets -1- and -2- using a commercially available  
power drill.  
– Remove adapter -3-.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
– Use special pop rivet pliers - VAS 5072A- to insert new pop  
rivets ⇒ Electronic parts catalogue (ETKA) in the sequence  
-1- and -2-.

– Lever off back panel trim -1- using commercially available  
plastic wedge.  
– Guide through seat belt, and remove back panel trim -1-.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal.

– Remove cover and padding of rear seat backrest ⇒ Rep.  
gr. 74 ; Removing and installing cover and padding of rear  
seat backrest .  
– Pull off adapter for back panel trim -1- in direction of -arrow-.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing  
– Fold out folding table -1-.  
– Unscrew bolts -2-, and remove folding table -1-.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
Tightening torques  
♦ ⇒ Rep. gr. 72 ; Assembly overview - rear seat backrest

Removing and installing cross piece for  
folding table  
Special tools and workshop equipment required  
♦ Drill, commercially available  
♦ Suitable drill drill bit, commercially available  
♦ pop rivet pliers - VAS 5072A-  
Removal and installation are described for one cross piece as  
an example.  
Removing  
– Remove back panel ⇒ Rep. gr. 72 ; Removing and instal‐  
ling back panel trim .  
CAUTION  
Risk of injury caused by flying metal shavings.  
Eyes and skin can suffer irritation or injuries.  
– Put on safety goggles.  
– Put on protective gloves.

Installing

using pop rivet pliers - VAS 5072A- starting from left side.

Removing  
– Remove cover and padding of rear seat backrest ⇒ Rep.  
gr. 74 ; Removing and installing cover and padding of rear  
seat backrest .

– Lever off spreader rivet -2- using commercially available  
plastic wedge.  
– Remove fitting trim -1- in direction of -arrow-.  
Vehicles with rear seat heating  
– Disconnect electrical connector.

– Pull off ISOFIX guide -1- in direction of -arrow-.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal.

♦ removal wedge set - VAS 895 015-  
Removing  
– Remove fitting trim ⇒ Rep. gr. 72 ; Removing and installing  
seat trim .  
– Unscrew bolt -2-.  
– Remove belt end fitting -1-.  
– Lever off belt guide cap -1- using removal wedge from re‐  
moval wedge set - VAS 895 015- .  
– Guide belt -2- through belt guide cap -1-.  
– Remove belt guide cap -1-.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
Tightening torques  
♦ ⇒ Rep. gr. 69 ; Assembly overview – rear centre three-point  
seat belt
