Seatframes -> Removing and installing outer seat trim for Your Volkswagen Multivan SUV Seventh Generation (2024-2025)

Multivan 2025 ➤ , Multivan 2022 ➤  
General body repairs, interior - Edition 09.2024  
– Guide backrest cover panel -2- in area of -arrow- on both  
sides out of lumbar support -3-, and swivel it through back‐  
rest frame -1-.

Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal.

Removing and installing lumbar sup‐  
port adjustment motor V125/V126/  
V129/V130  
Special tools and workshop equipment required  
♦ Drill, commercially available  
♦ Suitable drill drill bit, commercially available  
♦ special pop rivet pliers - V.A.G 1753B-  
The driver seat lumbar support longitudinal adjustment motor -  
V125- , front passenger seat lumbar support longitudinal adjust‐  
ment motor - V126- , driver seat lumbar support longitudinal  
adjustment motor - V129- and front passenger seat lumbar sup‐  
port height adjustment motor - V130- will henceforth be referred  
to as lumbar support.  
Removal and installation are described for left side of vehicle as  
an example.  
Removing  
– ⇒ Rep. gr. 74 ; Separate backrest cover from backrest  
padding .  
2. Front seats

CAUTION  
Risk of injury caused by flying metal shavings.  
Eyes and skin can suffer irritation or injuries.  
– Put on safety goggles.  
– Put on protective gloves.  
– Drill out pop rivets -3- at front and rear using a commercially  
available power drill.  
– Separate electrical connectors -2- and -4-.

– Swing lumbar support -1- at bottom towards front.  
– Unhook lumbar support -1- in area of -arrows- from backrest  
frame -2-, and remove it.  
Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
– Insert new pop rivets ⇒ Electronic parts catalogue (ETKA)  
using special pop rivet pliers - V.A.G 1753B- .
