Registration and activation  
In order to use the VolkswagenWe Connect functions you must first create a user account and register the vehicle.  
You can then activate and manage the individual Volkswagen We Connect services via this user account.  
Prerequisites  
The ignition is switched on.  
The Infotainment System is switched on.  
The Infotainment system is connected to the internet via the hotspot on a mobile telephone or the factory-fitted  
Volkswagen We Connect control unit (OCU).  
You have a mobile device with an Internet connection in order to confirm registration by email.  
You have a valid email address in order to create a user account for VolkswagenWe Connect.  
We Connect registration and activation  
You must complete the following steps to register for and activateWe Connect:  
Create a We Connect user account on theWe Connect web portal at (→ Car-Net), in the app, or directly via the  
Manage users menu in the Infotainment system.  
Order and activate VolkswagenWe Connect.  
Add a vehicle to your user account.  
Provide proof of ownership.  
Provide proof of identity. This is only necessary if you need to access security-relatedWe Connect services.  
You can activate your account on theWe Connect web portal (→ Car-Net) or in the Infotainment system itself.

S-PIN  
The S-PIN is a multi-digit number sequence that can be freely selected during theWe Connect registration process.  
When creating the S-PIN, avoid easy-to-guess number sequences and generally known birthday dates. The S-PIN can  
be changed in the We Connect user account under “Account settings”.  
The S-PIN is required, for example, to protect your user profile or to execute a security-relatedWe Connect service in  
the vehicle.  
You must treat the S-PIN as strictly confidential. For security reasons, you should change the S-PIN immediately if it
