Passengerprotection -> Removing and installing belt height adjuster for Your Volkswagen Multivan SUV Seventh Generation (2024-2025)

General body repairs, interior - Edition 09.2024  
Removing  
– Remove upper B-pillar trim ⇒ Rep. gr. 70 ; Removing and  
installing upper B-pillar trim .  
– Unscrew bolts -2-, and remove front belt guide -1-.

Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
Tightening torques  
♦ ⇒ Rep. gr. 69 ; Assembly overview – front three-point seat  
belt

– Remove upper B-pillar trim ⇒ Rep. gr. 70 ; Removing and  
installing upper B-pillar trim .

General body repairs, interior - Edition 09.2024  
– Move belt height adjustment slider -2- to lowest position.  
– Unscrew bolt -4-.  
– Remove belt guide fitting -1-.  
– Unscrew bolt -3-.  
– Pull belt height adjuster -2- upwards off B-pillar.  
Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
Note  
Belt height adjusters ordered as replacement parts always  
come with the adjustment slider set to the lowest position (as‐  
sembly position).  
Note  
If a previously removed belt height adjuster is reinstalled, the  
adjustment slider must be moved to the lowest position (assem‐  
bly position) before installing.  
Note  
The belt height adjuster must engage audibly in every possible  
position.  
Note  
The belt guide fitting must move to the vertical or operated  
position on its own as soon as the bolt has been tightened.

♦ ⇒ Rep. gr. 69 ; Assembly overview – front three-point seat  
belt

Removing and installing front belt

Front belt buckle with driver-side belt switch - E24- or front  
passenger-side belt switch - E25- will henceforth be referred to  
as “front belt buckle”.  
Removal and installation are described for left side of vehicle as  
an example.
