Passengerprotection -> Removing and installing front belt buckle for Your Volkswagen Multivan SUV Seventh Generation (2024-2025)

Multivan 2025 ➤ , Multivan 2022 ➤  
General body repairs, interior - Edition 09.2024  
– Move belt height adjustment slider -2- to lowest position.  
– Unscrew bolt -4-.  
– Remove belt guide fitting -1-.  
– Unscrew bolt -3-.  
– Pull belt height adjuster -2- upwards off B-pillar.  
Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
Note  
Belt height adjusters ordered as replacement parts always  
come with the adjustment slider set to the lowest position (as‐  
sembly position).  
Note  
If a previously removed belt height adjuster is reinstalled, the  
adjustment slider must be moved to the lowest position (assem‐  
bly position) before installing.  
Note  
The belt height adjuster must engage audibly in every possible  
position.  
Note  
The belt guide fitting must move to the vertical or operated  
position on its own as soon as the bolt has been tightened.  
Tightening torques

Front belt buckle with driver-side belt switch - E24- or front  
passenger-side belt switch - E25- will henceforth be referred to  
as “front belt buckle”.  
Removal and installation are described for left side of vehicle as  
an example.  
2. Seat belts

Removing  
– Remove front seat ⇒ Rep. gr. 72 ; Removing and installing  
front seat .  
– Remove inner seat trim ⇒ Rep. gr. 72 ; Removing and  
installing inner seat trim .  
– Release clip -3-.  
– Disconnect electrical connector -4-.  
– Unscrew bolt -1-.  
– Remove front belt buckle -2-.

Installing  
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:  
– Position belt buckle in such a way that anti-twist protection  
engages in recess in seat frame.  
Tightening torques

The rear right belt buckle with belt switch for seat row 2, right -  
F487- , rear left belt buckle with belt switch for seat row 2, left -  
F488- , rear left belt buckle with belt switch for seat row 3, rear  
left - E750- , rear right belt buckle with belt switch for seat row  
3, rear right - E751- and rear centre belt buckle with belt switch  
for seat row 3, centre - F394- will henceforth be referred to as  
“belt buckle”.  
Removal and installation are described for one belt buckle as  
an example.
