– Check if battery terminal clamps -3- and -4- are seated se‐
curely on the battery terminals by moving the battery positive
wire -1- and the battery negative wire -2- to and fro.
WARNING
If the battery terminal clamp is not seated securely on the pos‐
itive terminal, first disconnect battery earth clamp on battery
negative terminal to prevent possible accidents.
If the battery clamp is not seated securely on positive terminal:
– Disconnect battery terminal clamp -4- on battery negative ter‐
minal first.
– Tighten battery clamp -3- on battery positive terminal to 5 Nm.
– Reconnect battery clamp -4- to battery negative terminal and
tighten to 5 Nm.
If the battery clamp on negative terminal is not seated securely:
– Tighten battery clamp -4- on battery negative terminal to 5 Nm.

Engine codes ANY, ARR, AVY, AYZ
Note
♦ For vehicles with engine codes ANY, ARR, AVY and AYZ the
battery is located in the luggage compartment.
♦ On some vehicles with engine code ANY the battery has been
installed in the engine compartment. For these vehicles ap‐
plies ⇒ page 26 .

long service life of the battery.
